He was an excellent server then and has since been rightfully promoted to Manager in the very fashionable, Izu ground-floor cafe. "Our stay at Mandarin Oriental Doha was exceptional from start to finish. The level of service genuinely went beyond anything we have experienced before. At one point, we simply asked a staff member for directions. Instead of pointing us the right way, they dropped what they were doing and walked us around the block to personally show us where to go. It was such a small moment, but it perfectly reflected the care and attentiveness of the team. Another highlight was a visit to the cake shop in the morning. We mentioned to the manager that we would return later that afternoon, just before checkout and our flight, to try some of the food. When we did return, they not only remembered us, but also presented our plate with a handwritten chocolate message wishing us a safe flight. It was thoughtful, personal, and completely unexpected. The hotel itself is beautiful, but it is the people that truly set this property apart. Warm, observant, and genuinely kind service at every turn. We would not hesitate to return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Doha."

"Unfortunately the restaurant by the courtyard is very bad. The team members are arrogant and do jot care about the clients. Particularly if you are with a family. You need to push to get your table and to get service. Very sad while the location of the hotel and the reception team are very nice. Spa also is good."
