"Honestly I wasn't expecting much so I was not disappointed with the small room and the lack of a proper indoor gym. That outdoor gym was just not feasible for a tropical country like Singapore. The swimming pool is great though and I love swimming in the quiet morning hours. The service was warm and my check in was pleasant and the theme of the hotel was young and hip. I was offered a cold towel and a drink upon check in. I used a voucher so I did not expect an upgrade, but I was told that I was given a pool view room because of my status, but I personally will prefer a high floor room instead. The room has some funky decor but the lack of storage or hanging spaces is annoying. The hotel can do better because it is not an airport hotel. I got free breakfasts as Globalists and there was a small limited buffet of breads and cold dishes, and you can order as many hot dishes as you want. There was a variety of Asian, Singaporean and Western dishes. They are small because you are expected to order as many dishes as you want. The lack of Barista coffee is a weak point of otherwise good breakfast experience. The location is a bit odd but the hotel has a shuttle to ION Orchard and Shaw Residence, and calling a Grab (car ride in SE Asia) is easy. I will return again for sure and hopefully I will get a higher floor next time."

"So so location however closer to main area than nearby shangrila. The atmosphere was a little “try hard’ to be ‘hip’ (uniforms pretty ugly), however what it lacked in atmosphere was made up by many of the staff. The room I had was excellent, (again a little like a budget airline ~ however very good pillows and all amenity you could want. The value was good, it was clean and as slightly away from town was quiet. Nice district green views, a great pool. One of the down sides was the restaurant which is quite small…we tried to go for lunch on a Sunday and was told brunch was only available (and this was at 1:30 pm)….not good. Breakfast was standard with some Japanese dishes (theme of rest is Japanese)….very dark. Not much communal area in the hotel. The real area is either outside coffee shop or by the pool (pool really good). As stated staff good, particularly the Asian doorman and Dalia at reception (she was always smiling and ready to help).. overall enjoyed my time there and would return."

"Poor customer service & unorganized staff. Basic amenities like the free shuttle service (critical due to remote hotel location) are very poorly managed. Facilities are fine, but expect a much higher standard for the staff/service from this type of boutique Hyatt property. Don’t recommend."

"Location is good but it' was in a corner if I remember where an old block of flats were. The pool view rooms just look into Shangri la hotel's Garden Wing and the pool. It's quite claustrophobic honestly. The rooms are small. Bathrooms are small too and the bright orange yellow wallsay be a little too cheery for some. Service can be a little nonchalant like ' we're here to look pretty but call us if you need anything and we'll decide if we want to assist ' at the front desk. Their attitude towards top tier World of Hyatt members are dreadful. Although the room attendant bringing the amenities is probably the most cheerful guy in the whole hotel. If you're a World of Hyatt member, think of this hotel as a Hyatt Place in middle America except it's with breakfast. Breakfast is however acceptable though portions are small. Hotel must have better placement for the chef to stand and complete orders than standing outside the kitchen, next to the coffee machines and between the kitchen and a guest's table. Not very safe for us to manoeuvre with hot beverage in hand! If chef is there, then section off for staff only and move the beverage counter somewhere else."
