Shangri-La Jeddah opened in 2021 as part of the broader Corniche development, its tapering form — visibly twisting along its vertical axis — catching the evening light in a way that shifts the building's apparent texture hour by hour. The tower's warm bronze cladding, arranged in a chevron grid that references traditional Islamic mashrabiya screen patterns at architectural scale, glows amber at dusk against the deep blue of the Red Sea behind it.
