"This was my first journey to Saudi Arabia and exploring the coastline marked the concluding part of my 10-day incredible adventure. That's why I was very meticulous in selecting the place and the hotel. Before the trip I've heard and read a bit about the visionary Red Sea Project and my curiosity was multiplied by the fact that the hotel belongs to Marriott Brand. And I made the right choice as my stay at The Red Sea EDITION was not just a nice visit to the sea, but an unforgettable journey into a perfectly realized world of island tranquility, refined luxury, and incredible opportunities to explore a unique region and swim in the ocean of hospitality, care and cordiality.
The hotel is located on the pristine shores of Shura Island and is 30 minutes drive from Red Sea International Airport. The transfer from the airport in one of these luxury electric Mercedes via Saudi Arabia's longest aqueduct-road was a delightful beginning to my trip assuming the that the most interesting things are waiting for me ahead.
From the very first steps in the elegant, open-air space lobby decorated with natural oak and delicate textiles, with a stunning ceramic chandelier that attracts your attention at once, my heart has been stolen by this atmosphere.
I stayed in a luxury Deluxe Room with a terrace and a view of the surrounding area. Waking up each day and having a cup of coffee seating at the cozy sofa at the terrace enjoying the sounds and colours of the morning was magical.
The room is very spacious and its interior design, combination of calm and soft shades inspired by the softness of sand dunes, creates an atmosphere of deep serenity. The room is not crowded with interesting interior items but each of them fits neatly into the space, whether it's a lamp, a painting or a vase on the table. All together, this is a compliment to the designer's sense of taste.
The beach at the hotel is worth highlighting separately. It is private, pristine shoreline that stretches for a kilometre along Shura Island offering expansive views of the Red Sea's turquoise waters. It is accessible directly from some suits and for all hotel guests. White sand, private cabanas, uninterrupted views across the sea makes you feel peaceful and serene. For those looking to spice up such a leisurely getaway all kinds of water activities are provided: snorkeling, diving, paddleboarding, kayaking, sailing and etc. The area is a part of vibrant marine ecosystem near the world's fourth-largest barrier reef.
When it comes to the culinary experience, it is truly outstanding. I don't know personally who the culinary gods are in restaurants but my only regret was not being able to sample every dish. The restaurants offer American, Indonesian, Asian cuisines with a variety of zero cocktails and beverages including zero-wines and spirits.
One of the most impressive features of staying at the hotel was the ease of creating a multifaceted journey that combines completely different worlds. The hotel has a collaboration programme, which allows guests to seamlessly combine their stay with other unique resorts in the region. You can easily visit epic Desert Rock, luxurious Six Senses Southern Dunes or futuristic Shebara being a guest the the Red Sea EDITION. I have visited the first two in a single trip and this opportunity made my journey even more unique and comprehensive.
At the end of the my review I would like to say that all this beauty and splendor is the result of the daily work of the hotel staff and their management. This is the height of skill in the area of service and hospitality to make a guest feel unique and incomparable. As if everything has being done only for me. And my heart is full of gratitude to each employee who made my staying amazing and unforgettable!
And the Red Sea EDITION is more than a luxury hotel. It is a flawless entry point to one of the world's most ambitious tourism projects. It's an experience that stays with me.
Highly recommended for: luxury seekers, couples, food lovers, design enthusiasts, and travelers who want to explore several unique destinations in one trip."
