PB hotel design editorial
Ellerbe Becket's design for Kingdom Centre — the 302-metre tower whose parabolic sky bridge crowns one of Riyadh's most recognizable silhouettes — gave the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre an unusually theatrical address when it opened in 2000. The hotel fills the lower floors of the tower, with the Al Olaya business district spreading out below in every direction, Riyadh's low-rise fabric dissolving into desert haze at the edges of the frame. That context shapes everything: the lobby climbs through a double-height volume of veined stone piers and soaring glazed curtain wall, the architecture alternating between monumental compression and sudden vertical release, massive arched ribs drawing the eye upward toward a mezzanine lined with interior palms. The 244 rooms and suites were substantially refreshed in recent years, and the images reveal an interior language of champagne-toned leather headboards — tufted in one category, channeled in another — laid against panels of warm oak veneer and walls finished in greige grasscloth. Arc floor lamps in brushed brass curve over sectional sofas upholstered in dove grey, while geometric-patterned carpets in blue and sand anchor each room in a palette that nods to both Gulf sky and desert ground. The spa corridor distills a different register entirely: limestone-clad walls punctuated by wall-mounted water jets feeding shallow illuminated channels, a sculptural bronze artwork closing the axis — spare, ritualistic, and unexpectedly calm for a hotel positioned at the heart of one of the Middle East's most driven cities.

Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh Reviews
"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, making the check-in process smooth and stress-free. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully maintained, with comfortable bedding that made it easy to relax after a long day. I especially appreciated the attention to detail — everything from the amenities to the cleanliness exceeded my expectations. The hotel facilities were equally impressive. The common areas were well designed and inviting, and the overall atmosphere felt calm and luxurious. The location was perfect, with easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and transportation, which made getting around very convenient. What truly stood out, though, was the level of hospitality. Every staff member I interacted with went above and beyond to ensure I had a pleasant experience. Especially Leonardo at Cafe Boulud and Alicia at the lounge cafe was also amazing they both made our experience so special. It’s clear that guest satisfaction is a top priority here. Overall, this was an exceptional stay, and I would happily return in the future. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers."

"This hotel is a really great city hotel in a tower with a shopping mall just a few minutes walk from a metro station and adjacent to main roads. The workmanship on my hotel suite was really nice and I liked the decor which had some style to it, more than the usual four seasons room. The gym is one of the largest hotel gyms anywhere and they have everything you want, even a sit up bench. The spa facilities are open till midnight. Here the shaver sockets work. The elevators are fast which is good considering my room was on the 48th floor. I had thought they would close the swimming pool at sunset but unofficially it is open for night swim and there is a nice jacuzzi next to the pool. The weakest point here is breakfast which I thought was sort of lame for this caliber hotel. Didn't get one piece of really good fruit here in 2 days. Not much on the hot buffet if you are Western style. Dinner was better at the Boloud restaurant; I enjoyed that. it's funny to see a wine list at $100 a bottle only to find out it's not real wine. There is a skybridge attraction in the mall and it's worth the ride to the top to see the city views. I really liked this hotel and it is a great showcase for the fact that Riyadh is a completely different place than it used to be. Uber works well here at the hotel for pickups and the airport is about 35 minutes away if you are lucky with traffic, but don't count on it even at off-peak hours."

"Fantastic experience! Great pre-arrival communication, well-prepared transfer, perfect check-in, luxury rooms, delicious food! Everything was amazing! The only thing which could spoil our emotions was reconstruction at the lobby area but everything else was such great, so it didn’t bother us at all. Thanks a lot to Four Seasons team for your great service and quality! As usual! Appreciate!"

"I stayed at the Four Seasons Riyadh with my Mum during our Middle East travels (ages 60 and 33) and genuinely cannot fault this hotel. From the very beginning, the experience was exceptional. The airport pickup was phenomenal. Yes, it is expensive, but it is the Four Seasons and worth every cent. We were met at the gate and escorted seamlessly to a luxurious Mercedes-Benz with cold water and wipes waiting. The driver was so lovely, and after being stuck in traffic for over an hour with a late arrival, the comfort made all the difference. I would highly recommend this service over Uber. On arrival at the hotel, Khadija, the Guest Experience Manager, was waiting for us, and I have never experienced a more flawless welcome at any hotel. She was warm, professional, attentive, and made us feel genuinely cared for from the moment we arrived. Check-in took seconds. I had shared in advance that this trip was for my mum’s birthday and that staying at the Four Seasons and visiting Saudi Arabia was a dream for us. The hotel surprised us with an upgrade to a beautiful suite with breathtaking views. The room was immaculate. They left birthday cakes, New Year dishes, and thoughtful touches throughout our stay. It felt incredibly special. Every single staff member we encountered was kind, welcoming, and offered genuine, high-tier service. This was not just luxury, it was heartfelt hospitality. The food at Café Boulud was outstanding. We did experience one minor issue where we were sent chipped and dirty coffee cups (human error but for the four seasons was weird but obviously not a big deal!), but the way it was handled was exceptional. The hotel went above and beyond to apologise and generously hosted a complimentary birthday lunch for my mum and I. The food and beverage manager was wonderful and made the experience memorable. The lunch was one of the best meals we have ever had, and such a beautiful way to celebrate. I especially want to recognise Khadija Zeinelabidine. She is one of the most remarkable guest relations professionals I have ever encountered. She is warm, thoughtful, highly professional, and makes you feel like the only guest she is caring for. Management should be incredibly proud of her. She represents the very best of hospitality, and I truly believe she has an extraordinary career ahead of her. Thank you so, so much!! Check-out was just as seamless as arrival. Because we were leaving early, I checked out the night before, and the head of service asked what he could send us to end our stay on a beautiful note. We mentioned we wanted to try Saudi coffee, and shortly after we received Saudi coffee and dates to enjoy while watching the city. It was such a thoughtful gesture and perfect end to our perfect stay. The hotel is also perfectly located in the iconic Kingdom Tower and connected to the mall, which makes everything effortless. Even with the one minor issue we experienced, which was clearly human error, the way the team handled it reinforced just how exceptional this hotel truly is. This is the best service I have experienced anywhere in the world, and I have been fortunate to stay in many luxury hotels globally. I am deeply grateful for the experience and cannot wait to return. I would recommend the Four Seasons Riyadh to anyone visiting the city. Plus, SAUDI ARABIA IS INCREDIBLE!!"

"We traveled to Saudi Arabia and stayed at the Four Seasons Riyadh, after the 40mins car ride from the airport, it was well worth it. The architecture of the hotel is spectacular. ( Riyadh in general is an architectural dream) We were a bit tired and hungry, upon arrival and Steven greeted us and ushered us to our room and graciously arranged dinner. Our amazing corner room was on the top floor(50th) with sweeping views of Riyadh that went on and on. The next morning Khadija met us at breakfast and helped us plan out our agenda for the week, she was extremely helpful and was spot on with every suggestion. We wanted to ship some of our personal belongings back home and Dinanath assisted us and spend time in making sure everything was perfectly packed and organized for pickup. I must say this entire Four season staff at every touch point really delivered such a personal experience and made us feel as thought we’ve were guess in their home.it was great to know that in today’s hospitality space, these exceptional experiences still exists and should be recognized."
