"We had the best time of our lives in Vila Planinka. From the location, room, food and the friendly staff - everything was amazing. We were blown away by Jezersko, which we call the hidden gem of Slovenia. We’ve been to a few landmarks in the country but Jezersko is our favourite and we are very happy we decided to stay in Vila Planinka for 5 nights. The view from the hotel (where we eat breakfast) and the room feels very homey! We loved the sauna as well. Food was the best. Michelin star is well deserved. Everything tastes authentic. We had dietary restrictions and we have seen that they are very careful and knowledgeable with the restrictions. We don’t regret having dinner in the restaurant our whole stay! Lastly, the staff. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to: Klemen in the reception for always being helpful and giving us tips on where to go. He has been very friendly and goes out of his way to accomodate us Marko who serves us dinner. Friendly and very knowledgable. He has shown that he is very well experienced, we appreciate the fun facts he gives us whenever he would serve us food Overall we had a very pleasant experience. We will definitely come back in the winter for ski season! Thanks! ☺️"

"Is a nice lovely boutique hotel where you can go for good hikes from the hotel exit. Room is spacious and bathroom is modern, sink is great and they provide good quality body lotion and showel gel/shampoo. No electric flask but they'll provide if you ask for it. At least they've wine glasses in the room so I guess their customers drink wine in the morning. Lovely views from the room. Their staff are all very polite and helpful especially the Asian lady at reception - very nice! Sommelier lady is knowledgeable however they like to take their time to explain the wine and food so be prepared to go for dinner not too hungry. If you're impatient like me, best to tell them in advance you just want 1 or 2 course and serve it fast, then they'll act accordingly. The spa area is disappointing as the main sauna is not working 2 days I'm here. Only Infra red sauna is working but is not that hot, and that infra red sauna is only for 1 pax. No steam room or jacuzzi. Breakfast is the best we'd so far we stayed 3 hotels. They've eggs to order and presentation of breakfast is well thought out. If I come back here to Slovenia and need a good hike, I'll consider coming back here again."

"Fabulous small hotel with exquisite service and truly stunning home made local food. Lovely sauna and balconies off the bedrooms. The chef is a genius and really added to the fun of staying here. Roasted pumpkin seed oil was a speciality. Carpaccio, Cheese soup, dumplings, pates, clever amuse Bouchez. Good for vegetarians. No menus- just choose the # of courses and any dietary requirements and then you get a feast. Slovenian wines too an eye opener- <10% is ever exported. Sommelier Vanessa and top expert Marco gave us fabulous recommendations for wine as well as hikes/bikes. The hotel has e-bikes and you can bike in all directions in/around the Jezersko valley. Serious climbs for the hardcore - inc up to mountain top refuges. Amazing biking on lumberjack tracks. All really fun."
