"Amazing beautiful private villa in the wine country. The property is unbelievable in an amazing setting with winery, flowers, peacocks. Service was amazing. Had full staff and private chef that was super accommodating. The only negative which was a big one was lack of air conditioning. Rooms huge with high ceiling in inadequate air conditioning in bedrooms. The main areas of house had no AC at all. Can’t imagine how they would build this relatively new villa with inadequate AC. If not for the AC would be 5 stars and would return."

"To La Residence Hotel, my friends and I experienced a beautiful exquisite high tea! From the moment we stepped out of our vehicle, we were greeted by the hotel hostess with a warm smile and an ice cold refresher towel to cool us down, on a very hot South African summers day! All the staff made us feel like family! We each received a complimentary glass of champagne!! The sweet and savory treats were to die for!! Each staff member was proud to be part of their gorgeous hotel situated in Franschoek Cape Town. This hotel is truly a destination not to be missed! I certainly will be back to see my "new fab family" ps...I am not going to mention names, in case I leave someone out!! To each and everyone of you, Thank you for an amazing spoil!!! "A phenomenal experience to visit La Residence Franschhoek. The high tea- highlight of our day was beyond expectation. We were warmly greeted at the entrance with a refreshing hand towel and delicious bubbly. Thank you. Juanita settled us in perfect splendour with views over the lake and manicured gardens. Renursha came to introduce us to our high tea experience. She is a skilled and artistic pastry Chef and shared with us each ingredient of the delicacies she timeously prepared, which were delicious and plentiful. We were met by Aryton, one of the managers and his engaging personality had us feel like family. . Another manager namely Byron made a special effort to share his expertise and knowledge of this boutique hotel and its history, with a visual tour of the unique ameneties it offers. We must share the experience left us feeling like we couldn’t leave. Thank you to all at La Residence for this incredible memory in a palatial estate."

"Exquisite" is an understatement in describing this luxury hotel in the beautiful winelands of Franschhoek, South Africa. From the moment I arrived I was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by both Ray and Nuzaan, and all the staff members, as I began my journey into the epitome of luxury accommodations and service. Delicious culinary delights in an outstandingly beautiful environment...what more could one ask??? La Residence now surpasses some of my favorites across Europe and in particular in France. After 27 wonderful days in South Africa....this was at the top of the highlights of my trip. The culture that has been created at this extraordinary destination is remarkable and superbly enhanced by perfection in the custom, handpicked antique French decor and artwork personally selected by the Biden's. On a daily basis I was delighted by engaging conversation with you, Craig, who continually exuded gracious hospitality and pride in representing this fine hotel. I was also privileged to meet and be warmly greeted each evening by Victor and Florence, true additional ambassadors of the hotel. I can only hope to return to this incredible venue in the future..... In the interim, I will definitely recommend La Residence with the vigor to all my friends, family and colleagues."
