"We had a lovel;y stay at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square. While the room looks a little dated, the staff, facilities and care of their assets more than make up for it. We arrived early and since our room was not yet ready, we were invited to the lounge for breakfast as we are Marriott Bonvoy Elite member. We finally checked-in in the afternoon. The room was good sized and they had reserved the room with a straight on facing to Dongdaemun Square for us. There were good sized closets for all our stuff, and a built in luggage rack for a single large luggage. I placed mine on the wooden floor. The bed was King and super comfortable. There's a carpet around the bed, and side tables with plug points and USB ports for easy charging of your electrical devices. A large TV hung on the wall, with some English news stations and selected cable stations that you can watch English shows and movies. There's also a large table and office chair on rollers near the window. An easy chair and side table is also provided. The toilet is a a single sink affair, and limited real estate for your personal amenities. There are amenities supplied by the hotel, plus hair dryer, slippers, bath robes. There's a rain shower and the same glass door can be used to keep smells in when using the toilet. The toilet did not have any "Japanese toilet functions". Our bathroom also had a bath tub. The housekeeping team were very enthusiastic and kept our towels refreshed and left Chocolate squares on our pillow at turn down service. I used the gym every morning and it is huge! There are plenty of weights and calisthenics machines and one can get a great workout here. I would have breakfast at the lounge after and the buffet-style, limited cooked food items would be rotated daily. You can also order your eggs any style. Staff here are very friendly and happy to help with requests. The lounge also has evening cocktails and limited buffet. We also had dinner at the BLT Steakhouse. Pretty good steaks and excellent service. The hotel location is ideal if you like to explore the nearby textile market [which comes alive at night]. There are some malls and shopping centres nearby and don't forget to visit Dongdaemun Design Plaza at sunset. One can also walk the from Dongdaemun to the next gate, Hanyangdoseong Gate. We liked the location for it is quite central and not too touristy. We will probably stay here again if we come back to Seoul. Highly recommended."

"We stayed at the hotel for five days to celebrate our anniversary. The staff could not do enough for us they were absolutely brilliant particularly Anna who looked after us in the lounge. The hotel is directly over an underground station which makes it perfect for getting around. The room was well-maintained spotlessly clean and had all the facilities one would expect. Breakfast was superb with a wide range of choices of food for all tastes. That is a lovely bakery downstairs on the way into the underground. There was a beautiful pool with helpful staff, clean changing rooms with lovely products. The hospitality in the lounge in the evening was excellent. The food choices were very very varied and the standard was high. There was a choice of wine, sparkling wine, beers, spirits, and soft drinks. From the cleaning stuff to the concierge to be reception staff to the staff who looked after us in the lounge they were absolutely faultless and a credit to the Marriott brand."

"The most Wonderful Hotel Staff in the Marriott Chain!! being a titanium elite member I've been to ton's of hotels in then Marriott Chain and I've seen some great staff and Experiences but the staff in this hotel Raised The Bar Very HIGH!! Ruby, Hani, the front office desk, the valley team and house keeping were SUPER nice and Helpful to us and our family .. We LOVED our stay in Korea and their kindness was a big part of why we loved visiting the country. Big Thank you to Ruby on all the effort that she put into ensuring our stay was amazing!! Thanks So much Hani for ensuring I was set up properly in the meeting rooms! A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OF the Staff of the hotel!!!"

"My wife and I spent 9 amazing nights at the JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul a luxury 5-star hotel. From the moment we arrived late in the night staff were exceptional. The greeting we received were both warm and friendly. The view from our suite of the Heunginjimun Gate was breathtaking both by night and day. The hotel is centrally located with the subway easily accessible by going down to the level where the Bakery is situated. The Bakery is a must to visit with a wide range of delicious cakes and pastries. The staff in the Executive Lounge greeted us warmly on all occasions. They were always helpful in answering all questions. The nightly canapes were always of a high standard. Staff consistently engaged with members belonging to the Executive Club. Breakfast at Tavalo 24 is an experience of its own wide a wide selection of food. It was difficult to choose which option on each visit. The dinner buffet had amazing variety of food including seafood. We would like to thank Logan for his kindness and fabulous suggestions both at breakfast and dinner. A special thanks to Justin for consistently showing warmth and kindness. A special thanks to Ember in the Lounge whose vibrant personality and tremendous service. We enjoyed numerous moments of laughter and engaging discussions alongside her. She is a true asset to JW Marriott. The pool and spa are excellent for relaxing with a separate area for children. The gym is extensive, for those who enjoy golf there is an inhouse golf range. Each day our suite was beautifully maintained. The housekeeping team were cheerful and greeted everyone with a smile. A special thank you to Michael Park Executive Chef and Brad In for the delightful food they prepared for us. We had plenty of conversations and shared lots of laughter together. Their team were professional and a pleasure to interact with. Throughout our stay the Concierge and Reception team were always warm, friendly, and extremely helpful. A special thank you to Daeny and Howard organising tours and directions around Seoul. We would like to thank Alex Lee General Manager and all his exceptional staff throughout the JW Marriott. They contributed to making our first trip to Seoul a true experience. My wife and I will fondly remember the family at the JW Marriott. Until we visit again.
