"I stay at many 5* hotels globally every year personally and for work. We had a great time at Finca but it’s not at 5* standard…yet. Some examples of my reasoning below: - before arriving I didn’t have change to get a manicure but was assured that the spa does nails so I thought I would wait. When I arrived I whatsapped the spa and they told me they have no availability for a manicure for the entire week I was staying! This is not 5* service. What’s more, there was no explanation for this or apology. - my husband and I were sent on a wild goose chase when we wanted ice cream just to find out the hotel doesn’t actually have any soft scoop ice cream that you can buy during the day, just fruit lollies that are sometimes (but not always!) available at the pool - the main reason I came to this hotel was for the horses having regularly travelled for equine retreats to hotels around the world. I reached out to the hotel weeks before arriving to say I wanted to ride and asking what times were available. They said availability would be fine and riding was usually in the morning or evening to keep the horses cool. So when I enquired they only had availability at midday on the Wednesday. I asked for an early morning or evening and they said I could ride the morning of my departure - inconvenient. I pushed back and they eventually found me a slot on an early morning ride. The horses appear to be very well looked after and it’s lovely to be able to walk to the stables easily from the hotel but I think they could activate equine services more. - despite having shutters on the bedroom windows the bathroom (which did not have a door) has only a blind so the room gets bright very early - coffee at breakfast seems to be from a machine. Doesn’t taste good. It’s a shame you have to ask for tea rather than it being out for self serve. - we ordered room service food as we arrived just as the restaurants were shutting. The food was not food, burger meat was terrible quality. - dinner at El Cortijo on the last night was very basic and didn’t seem fresh (food at La Jara in constraint was amazing and top quality). I’m glad we only visited this once but as the only child friendly option I feel sorry for parents at dinner time! Positives - the housekeeping team do an amazing job - the grounds are beautiful and well kept - the stables are lovely and ass a charm to the hotel - the pool area is nice and relaxing"

"We spent eight nights at Finca La Bobadilla for our honeymoon, and we are so pleased that we chose it. It is one of those rare places where every detail feels considered, yet nothing seems forced. What we will remember most is the people. Every member of staff we met was attentive, courteous, generous, kind, and clearly passionate about what they do. They struck the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth, making us feel welcome and at home throughout our stay. The setting is beautiful in the truest sense of the word. The estate is wonderfully private, with authentic Andalusian character and thoughtful touches everywhere you look: equestrian-inspired decorations, natural materials, beautifully maintained gardens, and subtle ambient music. The food exceeded our expectations every single day. It was delicious, varied, and fresh, and we particularly enjoyed discovering regional dishes and local wines. The atmosphere was made even more special by the live performances of Spanish guitar classics. One of the greatest luxuries of the estate is the space. We loved walking the different trails, each with its own character, through olive groves and rolling Andalusian countryside. The grounds are vast and full of wildlife, we regularly saw rabbits, partridges, and many others, which made every walk feel a little different. Horse riding was another highlight of our stay. I rode four times with María, Paloma, and Cristóbal. I especially appreciated the variety of routes and experiences, as well as the care they showed both to the horses and to their guests. Our stay was everything we had hoped our honeymoon would be: peaceful, beautiful, and deeply restorative. We left with wonderful memories and already hope to return one day."

"We recently stayed in the two-bedroom Grand Cortijo Suite. It gave our family of five plenty of space and was really comfortable throughout our stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating from start to finish, and everyone enjoyed the spacious pool area. Granada is only about an hour away, which made it easy to fit in a visit to the Alhambra during our stay. The food was great overall, though we did wish there were more family restaurant options. It wasn’t possible to get food by the pool, and only one dinner restaurant on the property allowed children. We did the special barbecue event one night, and while the food was delicious, we did feel it was overpriced. Breakfast was great and offered plenty of hot and cold options each morning. The true family highlight was horseback riding one evening. The staff did an excellent job assessing everyone’s experience level and tailoring the ride accordingly. The horses themselves were beautiful. It was a great way to see more of the property! Overall a wonderful stay, and we’d recommend it to other families looking for a mix of relaxation and activities in Andalusia."
