PB hotel design editorial

Positioned on the quieter residential edge of Sitges, where the town's famous seafront promenade gives way to newer development pushing inland, Sabatic Sitges Autograph Collection takes the form of a contemporary tower rising above a low-slung glazed podium — dark steel columns supporting a timber-clad canopy that establishes a deliberately unhurried entry sequence, olive trees and ornamental grasses softening the forecourt into something closer to a garden threshold than a hotel drop-off. The interiors navigate two registers with reasonable confidence. The ground-floor restaurant is the stronger move: slatted timber ceilings, a dark honed-stone bar counter lined with natural wood stools, pendant lanterns borrowed loosely from Japanese paper-lamp traditions, and full-height glazing that pulls the rooftop vegetation into the dining room's peripheral vision. Upstairs, the guestrooms divide between a warmer register — macramé wall hangings, oak headboard panels, black disc-shade sconces, LED-edged wardrobe reveals — and a cooler, more restrained palette of sand linens, woven leather bench stools, and sheer curtains diffusing Atlantic light across pale timber floors. The rooftop lap pool, paved in large-format stone tiles with timber-clad plant structures at either end, commands views across the Garraf coastline toward the sea. As part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, the property sits within a framework that rewards independent character, and the restaurant floor, at least, delivers exactly that.

"Anniversary stay overshadowed by very upsetting incident We chose this hotel to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary and unfortunately the experience ended up being extremely upsetting. During our stay my wife left her jewelry in the room while we went out for a couple of hours. When we returned, her wedding ring was gone. This wasn’t just an expensive item — it was her wedding ring, something with enormous emotional value that cannot be replaced. When we reported the situation the staff were sympathetic and reassured us several times that the hotel would “take care of it.” Because of that we believed the issue would be handled seriously. However, after their internal investigation we were simply informed that nothing had been found and that we could file a police report if we wished. Beyond that the matter appeared closed. The hotel offered a complimentary bottle of cava, which felt like a symbolic gesture rather than a meaningful attempt to address what had happened. What makes this particularly disappointing is that I live locally and have been a regular visitor to the hotel for lunches and meetings and was even considering joining the gym. Instead of leaving with a great memory of our anniversary, we left feeling extremely frustrated and disappointed."

"Beautiful hotel, feels brand new! The rooms are super spacious and comfortable. The pool area was relaxing, I loved that it was quiet and peaceful. The outdoor gym was also perfect. It’s about a 15 minute walk into old town."

"Lovely hotel, beautifully decorated with lovely open spaces and public areas to enjoy and relax. Rooms are very clean and very comfortable. I was rather disappointed by the noise from the construction going on next door … near impossible to relax by the pool or outside areas during the week .. There seem to be short staffed, breakfast tables were often piled with dirty dishes. Often just 1 waiter trying to clear all the breakfast tables. Breakfast was fine, but would be nice to have pancakes… but what surprised the most was all the cracked / chipped breakfast bowls .. My expectation as a Gold Bonvoy Member and when I pay over €2000 for my stay, I don’t expect to eat from broken bowls .. surely not hygienic nor Health & Safety compliant."

"This was one of the nicest Marriott properties I've ever stayed at. It is new, modern, clean, has very friendly service, luxurious, has a great location, and overall top notch. We stayed in room 314 which was a fantastic room with a wonderful view. This was our 2nd time staying here and we will return soon. We stay all over the world as titanium elite members, and this property has it right, bravo!!! I find it bizarre and comical reading the negative reviews on here explaining they didn’t like the hotel because there were too many LGBT individuals. That is an odd way to review a hotel. Please disregard the negative reviews, this is a first rate hotel."
