PB hotel design editorial

White geometry against the Atlantic sky above Costa Adeje defines the first impression of Royal Hideaway Corales Beach, a adults-only resort that treats the volcanic southern coastline of Tenerife as both backdrop and design provocation. The building's stepped white terraces and cantilevered shade structures — visible in the evening shot as a sequence of hexagonal overhangs lit from beneath — push toward a Mediterranean modernism that owes something to the Canarian tradition of whitewashed volume while refusing any folkloric nostalgia. Barceló Hotel Group developed the property with interiors that move fluidly between the outdoor pool terraces and the air-conditioned interior, the boundary dissolved by the open-sided ground-floor pavilion where oversized rattan pod seating floats above shallow reflecting pools on polished concrete islands. Inside, the rooms carry that same restraint: oak-veneer headboard panels frame bas-relief pebble motifs in white plaster, platform beds with underlighting lift from large-format grey porcelain tile floors, and the bathrooms deploy a pierced circular-motif screen to separate the freestanding soaking tub from the sleeping area without fully closing either off from the Atlantic view beyond. The restaurant shown deploys a more material richness — onyx-faced bar fronts, terrazzo counter bases, woven-cord lounge chairs in blush, and a teal-lacquered extractor canopy as a deliberate chromatic jolt. The rooftop infinity pool, edged in teak decking with white-framed sun loungers, resolves everything: the whole design exists to frame that particular horizon.

"We had the most fantastic stay at the Royal Hideaway. It was a birthday surprise from my husband, and what a surprise it was! The hotel is absolutely stunning, and so well maintained. When we arrived we were greeted by Danielle (Daniella maybe..), and she was so friendly, patient, and welcoming! We were then shown to our room on the 5th floor with the most amazing views. The room itself was very large, comfortable, with a balcony with a hot tub and ocean views. We can honestly say the bed was so comfortable, it's the best we've slept in months! 😂 We only dined at the restaurants for breakfast and one dinner throughout our stay there, as the dinner options were a little limited for my food intolerances, but anything we did have there was delicious. Additionally, all staff throughout our stay were incredibly friendly and helpful, and assisted us in ordering taxis and booking trips. So a big thank you to all! We really enjoyed the rooftop infinity pool and taking some much needed time for relaxation for the entire trip. It really is a fantastic place to stay, and we will definitely return in the future. Also, a special mention to the housekeeping team, who kept our room spotless day and night!"

"We have stayed many times here as a couple and as a family with children and grandchildren in the sister hotel. As always this latest visit was just lovely. Very calm and beautiful pool area and services there were particularly efficient and friendly. I cannot recommend more highly the focus on guest service provided by virtuall all staff. Inevitably some small issues arise as in any hotel. WWhat is unique about this one is the immediate addressing of such issues, no matter how small. The reason we return is the total confidence we have in the staff to ensure the experience is as good as it can be. The higher up the room the better the view, but essentially all the rooms ( apart from the corner ones ) are the same- large, comfortable and practically laid out. The restaurants are varied in type of food but service and attention to any allergy is excellent in all but one. The Trattoria leaves a lot to be desired in terms of staff attitude. The chef in Nao buffet was an exceptionally helpful person talking us through coeliac options and ensuring all was safe with no cross contamination. The gym is now absolutely great- usually quite quiet but now has excellent air conditioning. Its clear that this hotel and its management invest time with their staff who I cannot thank enough for giving us another great stay."

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Simply Exceptional – A Hotel That Deserves More Than Five Stars! We have just returned from an incredible stay at this hotel, and I honestly cannot recommend it highly enough. It is officially a five-star hotel, but in my opinion, it deserves to be rated even higher. From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. The location is simply incredible, with the most beautiful surroundings and spectacular views. Every single member of staff we encountered was warm, friendly, professional and genuinely went above and beyond to make our stay special. The level of service throughout the hotel was outstanding. Our room was perfect. It was considerably larger than the average hotel room, beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and had the most wonderful panoramic sea view. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, and the breakfast was outstanding. I genuinely think it was one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever experienced overseas. The quality, choice and presentation were exceptional, and it was a pleasure to start each day there. We also visited the Starfish Restaurant, and this was another highlight of our stay. I honestly think it was one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. The standard of the food was, in my opinion, Michelin-star quality, even though the restaurant does not have a Michelin star. Every course was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. Once again, the staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to make the entire evening feel special. I genuinely struggle to find anything negative to say about this hotel because everything was so good – the location, the room, the cleanliness, the food, the restaurants and, above all, the wonderful staff. This is a truly exceptional hotel, and I would return without hesitation. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We absolutely loved it – and we will definitely be back!"

"Our first stay at this wonderful adults only hotel and it won't be our last. We stayed here on a half board package with Jet2 and although all our meals were in the buffet restaurant we were never disappointed. All main course choices are cooked fresh to order as are breakfast choices and the selection of alternatives is wide and varied. For foodies there are fabulous looking a la carte restaurant options which are Michelin starred. We stayed in a panoramic sea view room which was extremely well appointed and had fantastic views, probably only bettered by the same rooms on the top floor, which also have hot tubs. As you'd expect the staff are absolutely wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. There are far too many to mention, but a special word for Elias who went out of his way to make my wife feel special, which was much appreciated, particularly as Jet2 managed to lose her luggage on the way out! We were looking for a relaxing and peaceful break and this ticked every box, even the rooms are quiet ( some noise from road at the back of the hotel where buses stop), but nothing significant. There is only interaction with the adjoining family suites hotel if you want it ( short walk and that's where there are a few shops). It also looks fabulous, but to be honest you wouldn't know it's there. All in all highly recommend."
