Plaza del Ayuntamiento sits at Valencia's civic heart, the grand ceremonial square where the town hall faces out over one of Spain's most architecturally layered public spaces. It is here that Only YOU Hotel Valencia was carved from a mid-century building whose granite-clad facade and generous floor plates gave interior designers Castillo Ferreiro — the Madrid studio behind the brand's signature aesthetic — a substantial canvas to work with. The entrance sequence announces the approach immediately: fluted terracotta cladding wrapping the base, potted olive trees in clay urns flanking a black revolving door, and a canopy of amber globe pendants suspended overhead in a loose constellation that draws the eye inward before you have even crossed the threshold. Inside, the property deploys a layered palette that shifts register room by room. The double-height lobby bar strings fig trees and trailing foliage above a curved walnut counter, its mezzanine gallery detailed in blackened steel and amber reeded glass. The restaurant grounds itself differently — encaustic cement floor tiles in pale blue geometric patterns, bentwood cane chairs, and stacked tiered crystal chandeliers borrowed from a more European grand-café tradition. Guest rooms move between two moods: some finished in cream panelling with arched linen headboards and built-in upholstered window seats in terracotta red, others anchored by glossy cobalt lacquer joinery set against white boiserie, abstract artwork, and brass oval sconces that keep the effect warm rather than austere.
