"Gorgeous property, with horrifble beach that is filled with jagged rocks and wild currents. Property buildings are nice and modern, staff is over the top some of the best we have ever met in over 30+ years of luxury travel. To get to the terrible beach you first have to get to the main building, then wait for an open air jeep you have to climb in and out of this jeep, then go on a wild, bumpy and uncomfortable drive to the beach, only to finally see that the beach water while clear is filled with jagged rocks and dangerous currents. DO NOT go here if you are seeking soft sand, calm waters as this is a very rugged beach, but if you like pain, dangerous currents and cut feet and arms from swimming then this is your place. We do want to stress that the staff is unparalleled and we only would never go back due to the terrible beach and being misled about the beach."

"November 2024. We spent almost a week at Le Toiny and fully enjoyed the luxury offered by the hotel. Our villa with pool offered a fantastic view on the sea and its size was just fantastic. The equipment in the lounge , the bedroom and the bathroom were at the top level and the service very pleasant and efficient. The restaurant of the hotel can compete with the best on the island and the chef offered us excellent dishes. A particular highlight was the wednesday (?) beach dinner organized by the hotel on their private beach down the hill. Lobster dinner with champagne and firework show followed by dancing with the feet in the sand. Relaxation guaranteed in a very familiar atmosphere. The owners of the hotel were attending the "fête° and danced with their guests. It is not every day that you can attend something like this. The swimming at the beach is not easy as the waves are rough but this applies also to almost all beaches on St. Barth. We rented a car with SIXT and actually should have done that through the hotel as the SIXT car was a rolling wreck whereas the hotel rental cars were new. We will know this for the next time. Le Toiny is not a cheap hotel but it offers you excellent service and is worth it for a holiday on St. Barth."
