"I wanted this to be a 5 star experience. We arrived after multiple confirmations after a long flight, with a promise of an earlier check in…with no accommodation. In fact, after 8 hours of waiting, we were given a late check in. Dinner there was terrible. After 3 hours of waiting for our food, we sent our kids to bed and my husband received his meal. I declined mine at that point. They did comp our dinner with no explanation. Lastly, my daughter had an ear infection that required medical assistance. At any other five star (over $4500 a night we paid) property in the world, this would have been easily coordinated…instead, the front desk was visibly annoyed to have to accommodate a trip to the clinic. It was so sad as we were Virtuoso guests, and the property is stunning. However, it was a below average experience anytime we had to interact with the staff."

"(I usually write the review after, but breaking the rule for this special place and team!) WOW - what an incredible property, location, services, and TEAM! Super serene environment - a fabulous resort / spa - on the amazing lake Lucerne. Super chill place, and yet very classy/refined. A top 5 resort on the European continent! A huge and sincere Thank You to Lars, Julia, (2nd) Julia :) and the rest of the team. Front desk, wait staff, spa, everyone - terrific positive and genuine and pleasant disposition, super helpful, and kind. Amazing pool, saunas, exercise room, art activities. You can walk around the sweet little town, do boating, or just chill in a million places on site. Just terrific!!"

"My husband and I are regular global travelers at luxury hotels and we were recommended to stay at the Park Vitznau by friends- our Zurich spot is generally the Baur au Lac, which we really enjoy. The positives on the Park Vitznau: Gorgeous property with spectacular views Private and small-romantic and peaceful Rooms are beautiful, well-appointed, spotless and luxurious Michelin Star restaurant was flawless- food, ambience and service Outdoor dining locations throughout offer variety with beautiful atmosphere Spa and pool area were magnificent offering beautiful views The negatives: Breakfast food choices and service was spotty. Food came late, often incomplete and just average compared to other meals and other hotels of this standard. Screaming kids allowed with no “adults only” area. In fact there were children in diapers in the hot tub with toys and food taking over the entire area for hours at a time. We thought it was unsanitary but the hotel stood behind it. (On a side note-I just had knee surgery and I was told by the surgeon to avoid hot tubs in risk of infection. I repeated this experience as it was recent, and he was shocked. Perhaps the standards around this are different in the United States versus Switzerland). The screaming kids with toys also continued in the dining areas-which spoiled the ambience and peaceful dining experience, There were many tables who left meals earlier than they would as it became unpleasant at times with kids running around noisily. Overall: While the property is beautiful and many things are right, it would be hard to recommend this hotel unless you are looking to come with young kids who can run freely. We very much enjoy children but in our opinion this is not a property set up to cater to those who are looking for a relaxed and enjoyable lake front experience."

"We had a wonderful time with my mom and daughter here - the grounds are as beautiful as they look in pictures and it is an incredible peaceful place to be. We had great service from Maria and Patricia and also two guys at the pool and the focus restaurant I didn’t get their names. Food is expensive but it’s because they are using such high quality ingredients and everything was cooked beautifully and presented wonderfully. Breakfast was great and we loved sitting out in the grass. Bed was comfortable, we hope we can come back soon!"
