"We stayed four nights in July, in the middle of a seventeen-night tour of Switzerland taking in six hotels. Mont Cervin Palace is the one we would return to. It started before we even arrived. Zermatt is car-free, so you leave your car at the parking in Täsch — and the hotel arranged our transfer from there right to the door, which removed the one genuinely awkward part of getting to Zermatt. We were welcomed with complimentary champagne, Swiss sweets and fruits. Throughout the stay, the hotel bus took us free of charge anywhere we wanted to go in the village. None of this had to be asked for. The breakfast is the best we had anywhere on the trip, and it was not close. The eggs Benedict and the avocado toast were both perfect — the kind of thing you order again the next morning because you cannot get enough of it. There are detox juices, and the croissants are the best I have ever eaten, anywhere. What lifted it further was the lady who greets guests at the entrance to breakfast: unfailingly kind, and she would come over as service was drawing to a close to let us know, so we still had time to order or take whatever we wanted. That is attentiveness that gives you more options rather than fewer, and it is rarer than it should be. Service was the other standout, and again the best of the trip. Both restaurants — the Cervin Grill and Joseph's — were excellent, with service to match. As a base for Zermatt it works exactly as it should. Gornergrat and the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise are both straightforward from here, and after a long day on the mountain the hotel is a genuinely comfortable place to come back to. If you are choosing between the grand hotels of Zermatt, this is the one. Highly recommended."

"Unfortunately, an otherwise beautiful property and stay was completely marred by the Mont Cervin Palace staff losing one of our bags while in their possession, followed by days without updates or appropriate remedies, resulting in hundreds of dollars in expenses to replace needed items. 2 weeks later and they still have no idea where my bag is or have offered any solutions to find it or provide a refund for the contents. Painfully dismissive behavior for a luxury hotel, in addition to the blatant legal issue of losing a guest's property."

"The view from the balcony was absolutely stunning, and the breakfast area was elegant with delicious food. The staff were all polite, attentive, and kind. We also enjoyed using the pool yesterday.
