"I had high expectations for The Dolder Grand, but unfortunately, my overall experience did not match the level of service I would expect from a hotel of this reputation and price point. The main issue was the lack of communication and coordination between shifts. On several occasions, I would make a request with reception, and once the shift changed a few hours later, the new team seemed to have no information about it. There appeared to be very little handover between staff, which made the service feel surprisingly disorganized for a hotel of this caliber. The concierge team was excellent professional, precise, reliable, and always on time. They were by far one of the strongest parts of my stay. The spa facilities themselves are exceptional. However, I was disappointed with the treatment. Both my massage and facial treatment felt quite average and did not live up to the standard I expected from such a renowned spa. Most concerning for me was an incident involving an amount of money that I noticed was missing from my room during my stay. I reported it to the hotel and asked them to investigate. After a few days, I was informed that an internal investigation had been conducted, but that the details could not be shared with me, and I was advised that I could file a police report if I wished to pursue the matter further. I am only describing my personal experience and the response I received from the hotel, but naturally, the situation left me feeling uncomfortable and concerned. Overall, I personally would not choose The Dolder Grand again for an overnight stay. The property itself is beautiful, the concierge team is excellent, and the spa facilities are outstanding, so I would happily recommend visiting for a spa day or a meal. But based on my experience with the overall service, communication, and handling of my concern, I cannot recommend it as a hotel stay."

"SECOND time at this wonderful hotel. Everything continues to be perfect, or even better. Definitely one of the top 3 best hotels in the world. We decided to go to Zurich at the last minute and booked the hotel through Booking.com at the last minute. We were absolutely amazed!!! Everything about the hotel is wonderful!!!! Perfect!!! The spa is incredible, the gym is incredible, the location is wonderful! EVERYONE's service is impeccable, perfect! The artwork throughout the hotel is always a pleasant surprise! The hotel has a forest with a peaceful trail, a great way to start the day. Every detail of this hotel is perfect! If you want to explore the city center, the hotel has a van that takes guests to and from the center every hour. Congratulations, Dolder. You're not 5 stars, you're 1,000 stars!!! We'll be there again next year!"

"A grand edifice on a hilltop overlooking Zurich with a grand lobby and furnishings, there is a helpful staff and lovely rooms. There is both a “pop up” restaurant which was serving Japanese food as well as “Saltz” which was more suited for families. The issue I had was one of the choices of art which in essence made fun of those who were not of the same economic status as those who stay at the Dolder Grand, more than a touch of arrogance. Beginning with a “statue” of an apparently homeless individual asleep in the lobby, continuing the theme with “art work” that belittles those of lesser means. A place this grand could use better, more refined taste. That said, the spa area is lovely, large, and has a variety of options for swimming, hot tubs, etc. One of the best I have seen. The rooms and bathrooms are first class. The staff is first class, though it is not easy to connect with them by phone, they are most accomodating and friendly in person."
