"Our family stays at the Shangri-La Far Eastern Hotel in Taipei every year when we visit Taiwan, and it continues to exceed our expectations. The Family Room for four is incredibly spacious and comfortable, with a large walk-in closet that makes it easy to unpack and organize everything for a family stay. The rooms are well maintained, quiet, and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Taipei. The breakfast buffet is one of the highlights of the hotel. There is an impressive variety of both Taiwanese and international dishes, and everything is fresh and delicious. We also ordered room service during our stay, and the food was outstanding. The beef noodle soup, in particular, was exceptional—honestly one of the best we've had in Taipei, even better than the famous beef noodle soup on Yongkang Street. The location is another major advantage. A shopping mall is directly connected to the hotel, with a MUJI store just steps away. It's also within walking distance of Linjiang Night Market, making it easy to enjoy local street food and shopping without needing transportation. Most importantly, the hotel staff consistently provide outstanding service. Everyone is professional, friendly, and attentive, making us feel genuinely welcome every time we visit. Shangri-La Far Eastern Hotel has become our family's home away from home in Taiwan. We look forward to returning every year, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable, and conveniently located hotel in Taipei."

"The service is good and reception of the front desk and valet are all friendly. Room is spacious but the bed size is small. It only has twin size bed. Food is also great and has lots of choice. The cafeteria there is great and there is plenty kind of food from traditional Taiwanese food, Japanese food to Indian food to choose."

"Just completed a fantastic 2-night stay in one of the suites at Shangri-La Taipei, which gave us access to the Horizon Club. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and highly recommended. The highlight for us was definitely the staff. Every team member we encountered was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They were even nice enough to proactively offer us a late check-out. Although we couldn’t end up using it due to our schedule, we really appreciated the thoughtful gesture. The Horizon Club perks were totally worth it. The semi-buffet breakfast had a great selection, and both the afternoon tea and evening cocktails were excellent. One pleasant surprise was their coffee. Unlike most 5-star hotels that only serve capsule coffee these days, the Horizon Club here uses freshly ground coffee beans. As a coffee lover, it was a huge plus and tasted amazing. We also ordered in-room dining every single day during our stay, and the food was fantastic. It's super convenient and the quality was always spot on. If you are looking for top-notch service and a relaxing environment in Taipei, booking a club room here is a no-brainer. Would definitely stay again!"

"We spent 6 nights at the start of our trip at this excellent hotel. Beautiful rooms, delightful staff and management that cares about your experience. We returned for our last night and booked a Horizon level room for late check out and lounge access. Management kindly extended our late check out to a later time and use of lounge for our late departure. Our first experience with Shanghai La hotels and will definitely stay again as this brand value their guests."
