Thong Lor has long played Bangkok's most convincing double game — residential enough for families and longtime expats, charged enough to keep the city's most restless bars and restaurants in business — and Madi Paidi Bangkok, Autograph Collection, which arrived in 2023 as the brand's first Thai address, was designed by makeAscene to hold exactly that tension. Fitted into a compact 4,000-square-metre footprint on Soi Sukhumvit 53, the low-rise structure announces itself through a timber-screened façade framed with dark metal fins and a canopy of hanging ferns, a threshold that feels more like stepping into a garden courtyard than a hotel lobby. Inside, makeAscene — handling both architecture and interiors — worked a palette that moves between deep teal and indigo across the 56 rooms and suites, with headboards upholstered in rich cognac leather, herringbone floors in pale stone, and accent chairs in botanical-print velvet. The chalew bamboo motif — a traditional Thai weaving pattern — threads through surfaces and wall treatments, grounding the gemstone colours in local craft. The restaurant's barrel-vaulted timber ceiling, a harlequin-tiled floor, and a generous curved bar counter in live-edge wood give the food-and-beverage spaces a personality well beyond the standard hotel dining room, while the rooftop pool, landscaped with mature specimen trees and framing the Sukhumvit skyline, is where the two sides of Thong Lor — green and glittering — finally come to rest in the same frame.

"Very much enjoyed my stay at Madi Paidi Bangkok. The whole experience felt very welcoming and personal from the start. The location is great, plenty of nearby restaurants and close to the BTS station. Khun Ju and Khun Naomi were both excellent and made a real effort to greet us and make us feel comfortable. The staff remembered my name and little preferences during the stay which was a really nice touch. I’ve stayed in a few different hotels in Bangkok and this one felt much more genuine and personable. It has a relaxed boutique style without feeling overdone or formal. Everyone was kind, friendly and easy to talk to. What stood out most was the service and atmosphere. Nothing felt forced and the staff genuinely cared about making the stay enjoyable."

"We had a really great stay at Madi Paidi Bangkok. The staff were all so friendly, warm and lovely throughout our stay. They were especially wonderful with my niece’s daughter, everyone adored her and always tried to interact with her and make her happy which made our stay feel extra special. Every time we returned to the hotel in the afternoon or at night, we always felt so welcomed by the team. The rooms were also very nice, clean and well kept. Thank you for the lovely hospitality. We truly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return again"

"Our go-to hotel in Bangkok. We stayed here last year, tried another hotel for our first visit this year, however, nothing compares to the 5* standard of Madi Paidi. The staff are superb, nothing is too much trouble to do or help you with. The rooms are so comfortable and the bar, restaurant and rooftop pool - well - just what you expect from a top class hotel."

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Bangkok. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The breakfast was truly amazing, with a great variety and excellent quality. Everything about the stay was excellent, but I would especially like to thank Tong for her warm hospitality and thoughtful service. She made a real difference during my visit. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again in the future."

"Our stay was so amazing, All the staff are very polite, They take care of us very well. My boyfriend had to checked in first and he did not know about the amenities that set up in room. The reason that I want to stay here is because I want to see food pantry which I thought it's very nice idea to explain Thai culture and that sparked my interest with Madi Paidi but my boyfriend didn't know so he just left the food there for 8 hours by the time I arrived the food can't be eaten so another day my boyfriend want to surprised me so he asked staff to set up food pantry for me and I really appreciated of what all the staff did. I had a great time here. Wonderful Breakfast , Nice gym , Nice staff. I can't remember all staff names . Thank you Khun Sunshine , Khun Fleem and special staff who was on duty during breakfast time on 14-15 April, We had an amazing stay."
