"Valentine’s & Chinese New Year Stay at Park Hyatt Bangkok
Governor Suite
The Governor Suite is the newest room type recently introduced by the hotel. There are only two of these suites. Essentially, one of the nine Park Executive Suites was upgraded into this category, while one of the two Diplomat Suites was reclassified downward.
This suite faces the Nai Lert Park view. The living room is very spacious, with the bedroom located further inside, and the bathroom positioned behind the bedroom. The layout feels well separated and very comfortable.
The room includes minibar privileges and access to evening cocktails through the Exclusive Retreat package.
Exclusive Retreat
In short, it functions somewhat like a club lounge.
This package is included when booking directly with the hotel starting from the Park Executive Suite category and above. It must be a direct booking to be eligible, as complimentary upgrades do not include this benefit. However, guests staying in other room types may purchase access for approximately THB 2,500++.
The service takes place at the Embassy Room on the 9th floor, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, divided into three periods:
12:00 PM to 3:00 PM – Light refreshments
3:00 PM to 5:00 PM – Afternoon tea style desserts and snacks
5:00 PM to 7:00 PM – Evening cocktails
There is a small buffet selection available.
Although the service is divided into time periods, guests may order additional items from the menu throughout the entire service window from noon until 7:00 PM. Most dishes from the buffet are also available in the menu and can be ordered à la carte. Alcoholic beverages, however, are only served during the evening session.
The food quality is very good since these are dishes normally served by the hotel. Some portions are surprisingly generous. Even the cake slices were quite large and difficult to finish, which felt a bit of a shame.
The core menu remains largely the same each day, but if you stay for multiple nights, the hotel is happy to adjust certain items for variety.
Breakfast
The breakfast format remains similar: a selection of dishes available to order, along with a small buffet line.
The pastry section has changed slightly. The pandan crepes were particularly fragrant and delicious. Two new pastry items were also quite good. The beverage selection also seems to have expanded slightly.
Johnnie Walker Depth of Blue Room
This bar is located on the 35th floor. Personally, I really enjoy the atmosphere here. It is beautiful, quiet, and quite private. The cocktails are also excellent.
I was a little surprised that the hotel does not promote this venue more actively, as it truly feels like one of the hidden gems of the property.
Sunday Brunch at La Marina
This is an Italian style brunch served as a course menu. During the first round, each course is served with all dishes included.
If there are any dishes you particularly enjoy, you may order additional portions. For the main course, each guest selects one dish initially. Once finished, you may request another to try something different. The meal concludes with dessert.
Overall, the flavors were good. However, the variety may feel somewhat limited. The menu focuses heavily on pasta, bread, and eggs, so after a while it can feel slightly rich.
Service
This trip was very food focused, so I spent quite a lot of time in the restaurants.
The service was excellent as always. Khun Bas, Khun Sha, and the rest of the team took great care of us. I did notice that several familiar long time staff members seem to have moved on.
At the front desk, Khun Tae and Khun Maria were very attentive. Khun Vanessa, the Director of Rooms, even sent a handwritten card despite not being present during the stay. It was a very thoughtful gesture and truly appreciated."
