PB hotel design editorial

Central Embassy's tapered glass tower, rising above Ploenchit Road in Bangkok's Lumphini district, gave Park Hyatt Bangkok an architectural brief defined entirely by altitude and precision. Zaha Hadid Architects shaped the commercial podium below, but it is the hotel's own interior design — delivered by New York-based firm Yabu Pushelberg — that carries the stronger argument. The entrance portico visible in these images makes the intent immediately clear: bronze-toned slatted screens flanking a dramatically splayed portal, all dark lacquer and recessed amber lighting, channel the compressed drama of a kabuki stage entrance into something wholly contemporary. Spread across floors 29 through 34 of the tower, the property's 222 rooms maintain the restrained warmth that Yabu Pushelberg have consistently brought to the Park Hyatt brand — light oak cladding to headboard walls, ochre-toned hand-tufted rugs carrying delicate botanical motifs, and furniture in a palette of cream, ebony, and warm brass. Corner suites wrap around the tower's curved geometry, floor-to-ceiling glazing framing the Sukhumvit skyline without competing with it. The outdoor pool deck, set at mid-tower height among mature transplanted trees, achieves something genuinely rare in Bangkok high-rise hospitality: the feeling of a garden terrace suspended in the sky, where the city's density becomes spectacle rather than pressure. The rooftop bar, furnished in woven rattan and stone-topped café tables with lantern lighting, extends that balance between urban immersion and composed retreat.

"Absolutely delightful stay - the hotel was beautiful (as was the deluxe kind room) and the staff was extremely attentive. The amenities (pool, gym, spa) were a pleasure to experience, but the high point was the breakfast, with its buffet selection (breads, pastries, sticky rice with mango, fresh fruit, a middle eastern spread, chia seed pudding, etc.) in addition to the à la carte selection that was absolutely delicious (with coffee refills a constant). Highly recommend staying here and will be back!"

"Best food compared to other flagship luxury properties in Bangkok The attention to detail is insane. And I stay in hotels more than 300 days a year."

"We have just had an absolutely memorable stay at the Park Hyatt Bangkok. What impressed us the most? The genuine professionalism and heartfelt kindness of the entire team. Warm “hellos” everywhere we went, a positive and uplifting atmosphere among the staff… it all felt so authentic. At the Embassy Room La Marina restaurant, Giocchino Brandolini D’Adda was simply exemplary: perfect welcome, attentive and delightful service throughout. We were also blown away by the Penthouse Bar & Grill, the quality of the meats is exceptional; we would honestly say they served some of the best Kagoshima Wagyu tenderloin, 650 days grain fed we’ve ever had! The room was spacious, bright, impeccably clean, with elegant and comfortable design, a true cocoon high above the city. A huge thank you to the entire team, to the General Manager (who must be so inspiring and caring, clearly motivating everyone with passion), and to the housekeeping, restaurant, and reception staff. You have far exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back! With our deepest gratitude,"

"Valentine’s & Chinese New Year Stay at Park Hyatt Bangkok Governor Suite The Governor Suite is the newest room type recently introduced by the hotel. There are only two of these suites. Essentially, one of the nine Park Executive Suites was upgraded into this category, while one of the two Diplomat Suites was reclassified downward. This suite faces the Nai Lert Park view. The living room is very spacious, with the bedroom located further inside, and the bathroom positioned behind the bedroom. The layout feels well separated and very comfortable. The room includes minibar privileges and access to evening cocktails through the Exclusive Retreat package. Exclusive Retreat In short, it functions somewhat like a club lounge. This package is included when booking directly with the hotel starting from the Park Executive Suite category and above. It must be a direct booking to be eligible, as complimentary upgrades do not include this benefit. However, guests staying in other room types may purchase access for approximately THB 2,500++. The service takes place at the Embassy Room on the 9th floor, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, divided into three periods: 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM – Light refreshments 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM – Afternoon tea style desserts and snacks 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM – Evening cocktails There is a small buffet selection available. Although the service is divided into time periods, guests may order additional items from the menu throughout the entire service window from noon until 7:00 PM. Most dishes from the buffet are also available in the menu and can be ordered à la carte. Alcoholic beverages, however, are only served during the evening session. The food quality is very good since these are dishes normally served by the hotel. Some portions are surprisingly generous. Even the cake slices were quite large and difficult to finish, which felt a bit of a shame. The core menu remains largely the same each day, but if you stay for multiple nights, the hotel is happy to adjust certain items for variety. Breakfast The breakfast format remains similar: a selection of dishes available to order, along with a small buffet line. The pastry section has changed slightly. The pandan crepes were particularly fragrant and delicious. Two new pastry items were also quite good. The beverage selection also seems to have expanded slightly. Johnnie Walker Depth of Blue Room This bar is located on the 35th floor. Personally, I really enjoy the atmosphere here. It is beautiful, quiet, and quite private. The cocktails are also excellent. I was a little surprised that the hotel does not promote this venue more actively, as it truly feels like one of the hidden gems of the property. Sunday Brunch at La Marina This is an Italian style brunch served as a course menu. During the first round, each course is served with all dishes included. If there are any dishes you particularly enjoy, you may order additional portions. For the main course, each guest selects one dish initially. Once finished, you may request another to try something different. The meal concludes with dessert. Overall, the flavors were good. However, the variety may feel somewhat limited. The menu focuses heavily on pasta, bread, and eggs, so after a while it can feel slightly rich. Service This trip was very food focused, so I spent quite a lot of time in the restaurants. The service was excellent as always. Khun Bas, Khun Sha, and the rest of the team took great care of us. I did notice that several familiar long time staff members seem to have moved on. At the front desk, Khun Tae and Khun Maria were very attentive. Khun Vanessa, the Director of Rooms, even sent a handwritten card despite not being present during the stay. It was a very thoughtful gesture and truly appreciated."
