"The attention of Senol from the Concierge was superb. He’s extremely meticolous and dedicated. I wouldnt hesitate to highlight him as the best employee of the hotel. Well educated, savvy and emotionally intelligent. He made our stay in Istanbul a richer experience and a more delightful one, if possible."

"Avoid Park Hyatt Istanbul – Maçka Palas. I rarely leave reviews like this, but the service we experienced was unacceptable for a hotel claiming to operate at the Park Hyatt level. We were staying at the hotel and went to the rooftop bar at 10:28 PM. Despite the bar officially closing at 11:00 PM, the staff refused to serve us and spoke to us with an astonishing level of arrogance. Apparently, being an actual guest of the hotel makes little difference. We then went to reception expecting at least some understanding. Instead, Mustafa Dalay treated the situation almost as a joke and effectively suggested that we should go to sleep instead of trying to order a bottle of wine. That response was frankly insulting. We stay at Park Hyatt properties regularly and have never encountered anything remotely like this. Luxury hospitality is not only about an expensive room or a beautiful building — it is about how guests are treated. On that point, this hotel failed completely. For us, this was our worst Park Hyatt experience to date, and we would not return. There are far better luxury hotels in Istanbul where guests are actually treated with respect."

"The hotel itself is beautiful, but unfortunately, my stay left me feeling that something was missing. From check-in to breakfast and other interactions throughout our stay, the overall experience was consistently below my expectations. The staff should have been more attentive and willing to assist. I was not impressed with the service when we checked in, and unfortunately, the breakfast experience the following morning was also far below my expectations. When we arrived for breakfast, we were told that the restaurant was full because of a large group. The restaurant staff appeared overwhelmed by the crowd, and no one made any effort to assist us or find a solution. I eventually went to the front desk and explained that I am a Globalist and was hoping to have breakfast before leaving the hotel for a full day of activities. The front desk staff went into the restaurant and spoke with the restaurant team, and they eventually found a table for us. However, it was clear that the staff were not adequately prepared to handle a large crowd. Our orders took almost an hour to arrive. While waiting, we went to the self-service buffet area, only to find that there were no plates available. I had to ask the staff multiple times before plates were brought out. Many of the buffet items were also depleted, and they were not replenished in a timely manner. Most of the staff we encountered did not seem to enjoy their work. There were very few smiles, and the service often felt inattentive and lacking in genuine willingness to help. I don’t want to take it personally, but this made us feel less welcomed as guests. Even at the pool, the service was disappointing. When I went to the pool with the kids, there were no towels available. I had to go back to the front desk and ask them to have someone bring towels to the pool. It took quite some time, and we ended up waiting at the poolside shivering while we waited for the towels. It was certainly not the kind of experience I expected from this level of hotel. Overall, while the hotel itself is beautiful, we encountered too many instances of subpar service during our stay. The property has a lot of potential, but the service did not live up to the standard I expected. I’m not sure whether I would choose to stay here again when I return to Istanbul."
