"My husband and I recently traveled to South Caicos to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, and our stay at Salterra Resort and Spa is one we will not soon forget. South Caicos may be remote, but the two-hour nonstop flight from Miami made getting there easy. From the airport, we enjoyed private transport and arrived in less than 10 minutes to the resort, where our personal butler, Tony, greeted us with chilled Prosecco. Tony took such thoughtful care of us and made our anniversary feel truly special. Whatever we needed, from fresh flowers to dinner reservations, he was just a WhatsApp message away. Other staff members who made an impression were Sisal mixologists Jati and Fioreliz, who made some of the best craft cocktails we’ve ever had, along with Dale, Christina, and Nicole, who were among our friendly servers at Cobo restaurant. The food was consistently excellent across the property, but the eight-course tasting menu at Brine was by far our favorite meal. Each course was perfect, and I’m still dreaming about the Turbot with Chicken Jus, Caramelized Shallots, Mushrooms, and Fish Reduction! There’s plenty to do, or not do, at this resort. I made time for pampering at the spa and finally finished a book that had been languishing on my reading list. Most of our eight days at Salterra were spent in the main pool or lounging nearby, but we also booked dives and an excursion with the Adventures staff. Denzil and Edgar were knowledgeable and experienced dive guides, and Zane took us on an adventure to see iguanas on Long Cay and to snorkel at Starfish Alley. The hospitality here was exceptional from start to finish, and we left feeling truly spoiled. Until we meet again, Salterra!"

"WOW! What an incredible experience at Salterra - not sure where to even begin!! When we arrived we were greeted by cold towels and champagne, and our wonderful Butler Tony took us to our rooms. We loved all the unique touches this resort included in the rooms - especially the water bottles and filtered water in every room. The beach bags were also a favorite. We have to give a shoutout to the personal touches from housekeeping, it was especially cool to see how the resort incorporates the history of South Caicos and the salt into the resort, including during the gifts placed on our pillows each night by the turndown service. We did not have a bad meal. We have a big group and picky eaters and everyone was able to find things they loved. The Salterra roll at Sisal is my favorite, and the churros at Cobo! The excursions we will remember forever - the adventure center does a great job with these! A special shoutout to Wonder, Denzel, Edgar, and Zayn, all such amazing guides - we had a wonderful afternoon snorkeling with them and another on Iguana Island and seeing the starfish galaxy. Captain Marvin and Captain Dwyane are the 2 best captains in the Caribbean! They kept us safe, let us have lots of fun, and shared many incredible stories. We especially loved the gorgeous sunset cruise with the adventure crew. They are all part of the family now and will be very missed! There are so many touches that make Salterra special, from water brought to you as soon as you arrive at the pool and the daily fruit cups that are passed around, to the lovely happy hours and s’mores nights, and to forming a soccer fan club and watching the world cup every night together at Cobo! On top of the gorgeous property and amenities, it is the people who truly make Salterra so special. Rose and Felipe always greeted us with a smile at breakfast at Regatta, and I looked forward to the juice of the day with them! We enjoyed yoga with Vishnu and his workout class as well. The entire adventure center staff went above and beyond for us and we had the most incredible time with them. Dale at the pool was so wonderful and accommodating. Leslie at the Cobo bar was wonderful to chat with (and makes great drinks!). Conroy on the beach helped us with kayaks! Vincent, Sandra, Ridi, Hersley, and Greg were all incredible as well. Truly I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Salterra. They all cared so much to check on us daily and make sure we were having the best vacation possible. Tony our butler helped us with anything and everything we needed to make our vacation special, including decorating one of our family members rooms for her birthday! And of course, before we even arrived there was Yuya. We had some flight delays/cancellations so our group had some complications getting to the resort, but Yuya sorted it all out for us. Her communication was clear and detailed, she checked in constantly, and she went truly above and beyond to assist us. She also helped us set up dinner reservations in advance of our trips, spa appointments, and excursions. She was truly our saving grace and we are so grateful for her help! I can’t wait to come back to Salterra!"

"**TL;DR:** If you're traveling with young children, especially toddlers, this is one of the easiest and most relaxing luxury vacations we've taken. The one-bedroom suites are enormous, the beach is calm and child-friendly, the childcare staff is outstanding, and the service is genuinely exceptional. Special thanks to Tony, our butler, who somehow managed our twins' milk schedule, childcare arrangements, housekeeping timing, activities, restaurant requests, and countless other details without us ever having to think about them. We arrived stressed and left feeling genuinely rested. ——— We just finished a stay here with our 2-year-old twins, and I can honestly say this was one of the easiest family vacations we've ever taken. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless. Check-in was one of the smoothest I've experienced anywhere. We had a long travel day with two exhausted toddlers, and the staff got us settled quickly, arranged food for the room, and immediately took the stress level down. One of the things I appreciated most is that this is a relatively small resort. You're never making a long trek to the beach, pool, restaurant, front desk, or your room. As any parent knows, a five-minute walk can become a twenty-minute expedition when you're hauling strollers, snacks, water bottles, sunscreen, and overtired children. Everything here is conveniently close. Another unexpectedly helpful detail for families: there are elevators throughout the property. The buildings aren't particularly tall, so I wasn't expecting them, but as a stroller family, I appreciated them every single day. We originally booked a standard room but upgraded to a one-bedroom suite, and it was one of the best decisions we made. The suite was enormous—larger than several apartments I lived in when I was in New York. There was a full dining table that could comfortably seat six to eight people, a spacious living room, a massive bathroom, and plenty of room to spread out. For families with young children, the extra space is worth every penny. If you've ever traveled with toddlers who still nap, you know the challenge: the room has to stay dark and suddenly you're stuck sitting quietly in a bathroom waiting for nap time to end. Having a separate living area completely changed the experience. The twins could nap in the bedroom while we could comfortably relax, eat lunch, watch TV, or simply enjoy the room. We also appreciated that the resort provided actual cribs rather than just pack-and-plays. We're a tall family, and our twins are tall for their age, so having sturdy full-size cribs was a huge plus. I also want to give a special shout-out to Tony, the butler assigned to our suite. Before this trip, I wasn't entirely sure how much value we'd get from having a butler, but by the end of the stay I completely understood it. All communication was handled through WhatsApp, which made everything incredibly easy. Whether we were planning ahead or making last-minute requests, we could simply send a message and it was handled. Tony helped coordinate spa appointments, excursions, childcare, in-room babysitting, dining requests, room service, and resort activities. If I happened to mention I was thinking about taking a class or booking an activity, his response was always, "I've got it," and somehow it was immediately arranged. He also coordinated housekeeping around our twins' schedule. As soon as we left for breakfast, the room would often be cleaned while we were out, and any additional service was handled before naps or bedtime. We never had to choose between having our room serviced and protecting a toddler sleep schedule. Tony was also incredible with our kids' routines. Our twins still drink warm milk before nap time, and he somehow kept that schedule remarkably consistent throughout our stay. He also helped arrange food from different restaurants when the kids wanted something that wasn't available through room service. The biggest benefit wasn't any one task—it was never having to think about how something was going to get done. We would mention a need, send a message, or ask a question, and it would simply be handled. The childcare team also deserves special recognition, especially Felicia. We interacted with several caregivers between the childcare center and in-room babysitting services, and every one of them was wonderful. Felicia was especially great with our kids and incredibly helpful when we unexpectedly ran out of diapers. The beach itself was another highlight. The water was warm, the waves were calm, and I wasn't constantly worried about a rogue wave knocking one of my children over. Because of the reef offshore, the waves break farther out, leaving the water near the beach calm and incredibly family-friendly. The pool setup was equally thoughtful. There's an adults-only pool, a main pool, and a dedicated kids' pool. The kids' pool has toys, a grassy area nearby, and gradual entry points into the water rather than sudden drop-offs. For toddlers who are still building confidence in the water, this made a huge difference. Beach and pool service were excellent throughout our stay, and the piña coladas were fantastic. The spa was another standout experience. I've had hundreds of massages over the years and deal with old injuries, including shoulder scar tissue and ankle issues. This was easily one of the best massages I've had in a very long time. We also did the Ocean Adventure excursion and highly recommend it for families. It departs directly from the property, which makes the logistics incredibly easy. We saw stingrays, visited a beautiful sandbar full of starfish, and spent time in shallow water where our toddlers could comfortably stand. The crew was wonderful and never seemed remotely bothered by traveling with toddlers—even when one of ours spent a good portion of the trip crying. What impressed me most throughout the stay was how genuinely welcoming everyone was toward families. Our twins are enthusiastic eaters and enthusiastic mess-makers, and not once did anyone make us feel like we were asking for too much or creating extra work. The overall feeling of the resort is difficult to describe, but peaceful is probably the closest word. It feels unspoiled. It's quiet, uncrowded, and incredibly relaxing. You know there are other guests there, but somehow it never feels busy. Many luxury resorts accommodate families. This one genuinely welcomes them. Traveling with twins can be a logistical challenge almost anywhere, but this resort somehow made it feel easy. We arrived needing a vacation and left feeling truly rested."

"This was our first trip to South Caicos and we stayed three nights in a one BR King suite with lanai- primarily to see if the island suited us. We flew here from Provo then left on AA's flight to Miami which were very easy flights. Salterra arranged a limo to/from the airport and it was perfect. The resort is a very short ride and on paved roads (unlike the other resort). We were greeted by Lawrence our Butler and he was terrific our entire stay! Even with an early morning arrival our suite was ready and it was amazing! Huge living area, huge bathroom with a double shower and soaking tub, huge lanai, and complimentary drinks included! The room was as good as the best on Provo. Twice daily housekeeping was terrific. (TV channels were okay but they need to add the most popular choices--FOX News and FOX Business). The included breakfast at Regatta is ala carte with plenty of choices and with wonderful service. There are three pools and a very nice hot tub too. We dined at Cobo, Brine, and Sisal.....and the Sisal sushi and pizza were especially delish. The entire staff here was friendly, welcoming, and helpful! Even though it was a short stay we enjoyed seeing the island on a golf cart trip one day and also a boat trip to Long Cay and Starfish Alley. (We took the golf cart to the other resort for lunch but found the unpaved road very rough and did not want to return for dinner there after sunset. (Am really surprised if guests there actually can bike on those roads. ?) South Caicos is a small, quiet island and so Salterra seems most suited for those wanting that type of setting. It also appears to be emphasizing scuba diving which is a short boat trip over the reef. For us the three night stay combined with a Provo stay worked."

"My stay at Salterra was a short overnight visit, but I was still able to experience many of the highlights the resort has to offer. Although I was only there from Saturday morning to Sunday evening, I had enough time to enjoy the resort's beautiful grounds, stunning ocean views, and relaxing atmosphere. The property is thoughtfully designed, with plenty of spaces to unwind, whether by the pool, on the beach, or simply taking in the views from the room. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. One of my favorite parts was spending time on the balcony and enjoying the scenery. The resort offers several great photo opportunities, and the landscaping and overall design create a luxurious yet relaxed feel. I also enjoyed the dining experiences during my stay. The food was well prepared, and there was a good variety of options available. A special shout-out to Philip, who delivered our meals and drinks from Jack & Jenny's, Salterra's unique food truck. He regularly checked in on us, ensured our drinks were topped up, and made sure we had everything we needed while relaxing on the balcony. His warm and attentive service added a personal touch to an already enjoyable stay. The beach and pool areas were inviting, and the overall atmosphere made it easy to disconnect, relax, and enjoy the moment. What stood out most was how peaceful South Caicos feels. Salterra provides a wonderful balance of luxury and tranquility, making it an ideal choice for anyone looking to unwind and appreciate the natural beauty of the island. I left feeling refreshed and grateful for the experience and would gladly return for a longer stay in the future."
