"We had countless issues with dining and housekeeping. We concluded that the Ritz Carlton really isn't what it used to be and could tell that it's likely due to staffing issues and cost cutting. We ate at every restaurant for 3 meals a day for 6 days and there wasn't a meal that didn't have either a quality or service issue. The location is beautiful and the hiking trails from the property are amazing. The guided hikes were also amazing and worth it. Just be prepared for a sub-par experience with food and service."

"PROS: Beautiful setting and views. Consistently warm and attentive service throughout. We appreciated the kind and hard-working staff, early check-in after a short wait, comfortable room, bedding and amenities, relaxing spa pool (you can purchase a day pass), driving range access with shuttle service, interesting wildlife, unique ranger program, and the extensive hiking trails into the hills. NEUTRAL: The food was fine, somewhat unmemorable, Cayton’s is worth a visit. CONS: Best for families, not couples. Overcrowded kids pools and hot tub, loud, no adult pool, no adult hot tub, packed lounge chair set up, swarming bugs, too unpleasant to stay. They made a room assignment mistake despite advance communication. Privacy partitions that blocked the side views on our balcony (most do not have these). No complimentary upgrade with Platinum status. They offered a discounted upgrade for purchase instead. That’s a first."

I have been privileged to enjoy massages around the world and this one stand out as possibly the best one ever. Request Kim by name. She had a broad variety of techniques and applied them with expertise and, clearly, vast experience. The hotel is lovely and worth visiting."

"WE have visited this property ...Dove Mountain.... every April for years and years to celebrate our April Anniversary!! Some resorts weather poorly as the years go on...but The Ritz Carlton just gets better and better. The staff is unsurpassed.....Isabella in Ignite is so welcoming and lovely.....Rene in Core makes breakfast a fantastic experience.......Max and Trevor made our anniversary so memorable this year!!!! Tammy in security was such a huge help as well!!!! Truly the staff feel like family and are one of the resons we come back every year!!! The tortoise and the javelina only enhance the atmospher of this gorgeous setting!!!! Dont miss this experience....you will love every moment!!!"

"This is one of the nicest Ritz-Carlton properties we have had the pleasure of staying at. We had a room on the fourth floor looking out at the mountain-side of the resort, which was nice and extra quiet. We had breakfast every morning at the hotel's main restaurant, which offers a breakfast buffet providing a wide selection of hot and cold foods, including made to order eggs and omlettes. We also at dinner our first night at the hotel's main restaurant, a steakhouse by the name of CORE Kitchen & Wine Bar. It was excellent. It is approximately a 25-40 minute car ride from the hotel's location to downtown Tucson, but the drive is rather easy, and we enjoyed having a quiet, beautiful property to return to at the end of each day. We visited both sides of Saguaro National Park during our visit here, and it is highly recommended. We booked our stay here via prepayment through a major credit card's travel portal, but nonetheless had an issue arise between the credit card's travel provider and the hotel that the hotel's front desk was wonderfully helpful in resolving. The hotel is on ancestral land and has a daily Native American musical presentation. One day we also caught the live owls with their handlers in the hotel's lobby. We would stay here again without hesitation."
