"For a 5 star hotel, I expected more from the rooms. They were small and tired and reminiscent of a motel. I stayed and paid for family to stay so I was able to evaluate several rooms. The bathrooms were small and outdated, and little things were broken or not updated - like the lamps in the room. All of which contributed to a tired impression. Staff were friendly but scarce - check in was slow and we had to keep getting our room keys activated - with a fairly long wait for staff to help. Positives are location and the view if you get a high room (7th floor view was great)."

"I had such a wonderful stay celebrating my 50th birthday! Upon arrival in my 2 bedroom suite, I was greeted with a complimentary bottle of champagne and a gift basket of goodies along with a chalkboard sign wishing me a happy birthday. My friends had not stayed at a 1 Hotel before and they absolutely loved it. The bellman who helped us with our luggage to the room was so friendly and helpful and showed us the balcony which I never would've noticed. The room was clean, spacious, smelled great and was perfect for our stay. Valet was so friendly and helpful - we had Jack who was great. Then I booked an Uber and the driver got very confused on where to pick us up so Will who worked the door at Valet went above and beyond talking on the phone with the Uber driver and personally escorting us to the new area. He could not have been more friendly or helpful. The thing you notice the most when you walk in the hotel is the amazing signature scent of 1 Hotel, it smells so good! Also, the hotel is gorgeous and just has a fun vibe. Also, every time I've stayed here, there have been celebrities eating breakfast in the hotel restaurant which is fun. The concierge also recommended the perfect restaurant for us - Alba on Melrose which we loved! The hotel is also really centrally located which I love, it's easy to get everywhere. Thanks for a great stay!"
