"This is our fifth time staying here we stayed one night in a junior suite the space was a good size. Only one disappointment was we couldn’t have dinner on the patio as there was a red carpet event but we did get to see naomi watts snd sarah paulson through our kitchen window while standing on a chair which was really funny. Garden and pool area are beautiful like a secret hideaway. It s always special to stay here there is an atmosphere can’t put my finger on it but it’s just lovely. Hope to stay again in the future once you stay you always want to return."

"Due to its reputation, I've had this hotel on my radar for years, so when we were back in LA I booked our first night here. Having travelled from the UK, we were tired when we arrived, but received a warm welcome from all the staff. We were shown to our room on the floor above reception. It was the cheapest room and was a decent size. The bathroom was very dated, I think they would call it shabby chic. There was a really good complimentary snack bar, plus a book on the hotel to take away. We weren't hungry, so went down to the bar for drinks, after being shown the pool area. We were given a great spot in the bar to do a bit of people watching. We slept reasonably well, but woke up a bit early due to jet lag. We had breakfast in the hotel and took the opportunity to wander around the pool/bungalow area. Very nice. It was too chilly to make use of the pool area, which is a shame as they extended our check out time. On check out the extras (bar, breakfast, parking, garden fees & taxes) were pretty substantial, but you only live once. We've done it now, ticked it off, wouldn't go back and not do it, but I doubt that we will go back again as we prefer absolute luxury to shabby chic."
