"The grounds are beautiful and the cottages are quaint within this Retro oasis in the middle of Hollywood. But, this visit was very disappointing compared to previous experiences here. Servers and hosts/hostesses still asked multiple times whether I was a guest in the hotel and for my room number. For example, at breakfast Sunday the host asked for my room number before seating me. The first server asked for my room number before taking my order. When I asked for the bill, a different server asked for my room number. Same thing in the lounge Sunday night. Host asked if I was staying in the hotel and for my room number. First server asked for my room number when taking my order. She handed me over to a second server who also asked for my room number. When I asked for the check, a third server asked for my room number. Why the host or hostess cannot note that on the check to communicate it to the rest of the team is not obvious to me. Or if the information isn’t recorded, what is the point of continually asking for it? Service in the garden restaurant and the bar was haphazard. Always courteous, but not consistently attentive. It was worst during slow periods when there were more servers than tables. It seemed that everyone assumed somebody else would take care of the guests while many servers were devoting most of their attention to other servers. It was especially annoying trying to get the bill on Saturday afternoon when two nearby servers had their backs turned to me while chatting with each other for almost fifteen minutes before one finally turned around and saw me waiving for the check. Although the bartender was very nice, my Vesper at the martini bar Friday night was not well-made. Instead of a clean simple drink, something was sprayed on the side of the glass. Plus, the bartender did not express the oil from the lemon peel across the top of the drink. To me, this is a key indicator of a proper martini when ordered with a twist. Maybe lemon oil was in the spray bottle but it smelled and tasted like perfume. This experience was surprising because when I was here about a year ago, the company had flown out a bartender from London (if memory serves, his name was Caesar) specifically to train the bar staff on making martinis. Service in the bar and lounge area often seems to indicate a lack of training. Servers tended to take one order from one table and then head directly to the bar without checking on their other tables. It’s not just annoying but very inefficient because it results in extra back and forth trips. When I ordered a snack in the lounge, once it arrived I had to ask for a napkin rather than one being brought automatically. (But, the guacamole and chips were excellent even late at night on a Sunday.) Monday morning breakfast, the host was dour. Didn’t say good morning, just asked for my room number and took me to a table. Sparkling water and coffee came quickly. (Their coffee is good.). But, then I sat for ten minutes looking at three servers standing in the corner behind the garden bar chatting with each other before someone came to take my food order. I ordered eggs over easy. They arrived scrambled. After I sent them back, when the eggs over easy arrived but the toast and potatoes were cold. It gave me the impression that the toast and potatoes were not freshly cooked for the new order of eggs. Then, after being asked three times if I was a guest in the hotel and for my room number, when the bill arrived it didn’t come with a pen or a form for a room charge. I asked the server for a pen. He asked, “are you a guest of the hotel?” $77.37 before tip for eggs, bacon, coffee, and juice. The service and quality should be better at this price point. Housekeeping was mixed. It was excellent in the mornings and my room was usually serviced quickly after I requested it while at breakfast. However, my room only received turn down service on two of the four nights of my stay. I had previously been a big fan of Chateau Marmont, but after this experience am not certain I will stay there again during my next trip to Hollywood."

"There is hotel luxury, and then there is the Chateau Marmont. My recent stay perfectly captured why this place is legendary. The restaurant completely blew me away with its moody atmosphere and exceptional food, and the service throughout the property was completely seamless. The real standout, however, was the room styling and the hotel grounds! Everything is immaculate. The concierge team also proved to be absolute magicians. I wanted to get some specific treatments done while in town, and they flawlessly steered me toward Beverly Wilshire Aesthetics, which was an incredible referral. It is exactly that kind of effortless, insider care that makes the Chateau irreplaceable."

"I always wanted to stay at Chateau Marmont and it turned out to be a great stay. We are not celebrities by any means, but from the moment we arrived, we were treated wonderfully. Our suite was beautiful, comfy furniture and a balcony with a lovely view of the gardens and Sunset Blvd. It was also surprisingly quiet. On arrival, our room had a delicious bottle of wine waiting, fresh fruits, and a stack of the famous chateau Marmont stationery with our name on it "in residence." A nice touch. As a guest, you have full access to the garden and the bungalow area, so we enjoyed walking around and using the amenities. The restaurant was also very nice, the bar even better, all dark and woody, a perfect Hollywood hideaway."

"This is our fifth time staying here we stayed one night in a junior suite the space was a good size. Only one disappointment was we couldn’t have dinner on the patio as there was a red carpet event but we did get to see naomi watts snd sarah paulson through our kitchen window while standing on a chair which was really funny. Garden and pool area are beautiful like a secret hideaway. It s always special to stay here there is an atmosphere can’t put my finger on it but it’s just lovely. Hope to stay again in the future once you stay you always want to return."
