"The hotel sits near the corner of DTLA so it has a perfect rooftop view of the skyline. Everyone was so friendly and eager to assist us with whatever we needed. My partner and I were celebrating our engagement during our stay and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The hotel itself is very beautiful. If you are a fan of art, you’ll love this place. The rooms are spacious and have high quality toiletries for you to use. The hotel gifted us a bottle of wine that was waiting for us in the center of our room when we walked in. Everything in the room was set up so perfectly and you could tell it was well maintained and clean. Prior to our departure, we’re able to enjoy the pool that is located on the rooftop. It was so relaxing and beautiful that we did not want to leave. Overall, our stay was perfect and well worth the price. We will definitely be returning!"

"My husband and I had a wonderful 1 night staycation at the Downtown LA Proper to celebrate our anniversary. Amber and Cody at the front desk gave us such a warm welcome, going above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and special. Dinner on the roof and breakfast on the first floor were both delicious. It was so convenient to get great food and drinks without needing to leave the hotel. Every staff member we encountered between the hotel and the restaurants was very kind. Late checkout allowed us to enjoy some great pool time with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas available on a Monday. Between the note and little treats they left in our room, the quiet up on the 6th floor, and the seamless turndown service while we were out at dinner, all of the little details were on point. We had the exact relaxing stay we were hoping for and would definitely recommend the Proper for any special celebrations!"
