"What an amazing way to end Teacher's Appreciation Week. Upon arrival I was greeted by Michael, who knew exactly who I was. He guided me to the locker room where I found a thoughtful note and token in my locker, next to my robe and slippers. The locker room was equipped with personal care items, water, a steam room, a sauna, and showers. I went down to the receiving area, and my massage therapist was waiting for me. He showed me to my room and thoroughly enjoyed my 80 minute house massage. After my massage was complete, I was offered a tropical energy shot, enjoyed small bites, and relaxed in the receiving area. This spa is a hidden gem in West Hollywood. The warmth and kindness made the experience that much more memorable. I definitely recommend you doing yourself a favor and schedule your visit soon!"

"The West Hollywood EDITION has cultivated a very specific atmosphere at this property: loud music, crowded common areas, and intoxicated patrons dominating the lobby and bar spaces well into the evening. If you’re looking for a party scene, this may appeal to you. If you expect a refined, upscale luxury hotel experience, however, you’re likely to leave disappointed. The rooms themselves are beginning to show noticeable wear. The all-white design aesthetic is visually striking at first glance, but a closer look reveals stains, dirt, and overall lack of upkeep. Hallway carpets throughout the property were visibly stained and left the impression that routine deep cleaning and long-term maintenance have not been prioritized. Service was equally underwhelming. After scheduling and confirming housekeeping, my room was entirely missed. When I followed up, I was told: “Sorry, we can’t provide full service after 5 p.m., only turndown.” For a property operating under Marriott’s Luxury Group umbrella, both the operational execution and service recovery felt completely inconsistent with luxury hospitality standards — especially considering the oversight originated with the hotel itself. Simple guest requests took hours to fulfill, if they were fulfilled at all. Even the checkout process became unnecessarily difficult; I began the process the evening before departure and was still waiting for finalization six hours later. At this hotel, basic hospitality functions consistently felt more complicated than they should be, and genuine attention to the guest experience appeared to be lacking. The location is undeniably excellent — central, convenient, and close to many of the best parts of the city. Unfortunately, despite the property’s strong potential, the lack of investment in both the physical upkeep and the service experience makes this feel far closer to a 3-star hotel than a true luxury property."
