After visiting Newport for years we have started to include Lido in our travel plans as a great little getaway spot with proximity to everything we love, beaches, shopping, restaurants and more. Enjoy the poolside service and roof top bar after hours for great drinks and eats. We would always recommend this to friends or family visiting the area as a top choice."

"Stayed here this weekend and was very mixed. Staff seemed nice at check in and also the restaurant staff were excellent. Location we also liked. Rooms were nice. Not sure they cater to Bonvoy members and zero recognition for Ambassador status. Is this an Marriott property or not. Issue is we wanted a relaxing weekend and this place is not it. We asked for a quiet room and was assured we had one. Not even close. Rooftop restaurant was thumping and playing loud music. Hotel needs to figure out if they want to cater to hotel guest or frat house/party people. Other reviews also highlighted these issues."

"My husband and I came here for the weekend without our kids. I grew up here and I thought it would be fun to stay in Lido Village since they’ve completely reinvented the area. It was a sleepy part of Newport prior to this. Room The room was not good. At first glance, it’s decorated well. However, when you take a closer look, this room has been through it. I’m not sure what kinds of people are staying here and treating the room so rough? My guess is that this hotel frequently gets guests staying here in a group to bar hop. It was very clear that the most popular thing about this hotel is the bar. We had to wait in line to get on an elevator to get to our room because of the bar hoppers. Anyways, this room (and I’m sure all the others) is a little thrashed and unclean. There is a lot of random hair in the bathroom, scuffs on every wall and baseboard, and dirty makeup marks on the door. It just makes you feel gross being this room. It is LOUD. You can everything through the paper thin walls and windows. As I’m writing this I can hear a group of people in the lobby of the floor below us talking, not yelling. The first night we got here there was a wedding reception which was fine. But there seemed to be an issue with our windows as if they cannot shut completely. The bathroom shower door also seems that it is about to break and makes a super loud crashing sound when opening and closing. Overall, cheap, loud and dirty room. Service I really don’t have anything to say about the service other than they were nice enough but didn’t really move the meter in any direction. Restaurant I would come back to eat at the Mayors Table. It was so good and the service was amazing! We ate there twice and each time our waiter was so nice and professional. All the food we ate was incredible. Nearby Within walking distance of so much down here on the peninsula. You can’t go wrong with this location."
