"The personalized customer service my family of 5 experienced at Park Hyatt Aviara Resort was outstanding at every. single. turn. Before arrival, I received several emails from Esther Hong preparing for our special trip celebrating my son's 6th birthday. Her email contained valuable information for our stay at the Park Hyatt Aviara, reservation help for restaurants/amenities on property, and nearby local recommendations for kids' activities. From the moment we arrived on property, we felt a very warm welcome from Annie at the reception check in. She wished my son, Andrew, a happy 6th birthday and informed us that we were upgraded to a suite in close proximity to the family pool. We had arrived around 10am and were able to check in early and get to our room. She offered to bring the kids small spa robes and slippers and gave them each really cute (high quality) stickers. She was very personable and kind. Zoltan was placing our luggage in the room before we had even walked down to the first floor. We didn't even need to wait a moment before getting our swimsuits on and heading to the pool. He showed me how to turn the lights on in the living room -- I NEVER would have found this switch. Have you seen/heard the Nate Bargatze comedy sketch about not finding the light switch in the hotel? Please google it and take a listen. I'll wait.
Shortly after we arrived to the room, Esther greeted us at the door with personalized dolphin stuffed animals with our kids' names embroidered on them. At this point, I was completely blown away by the kindness exhibited by the staff to our family. She personally wished our son a happy birthday as well. Her attention to detail and compassion should be recognized. I am only an Explorist within the World of Hyatt program but she made us feel like the most valuable guests on property - truly VIPs.
Sydney, our server at the pool, was attentive, efficient, and kind. She did not miss a beat to bring our drinks shortly after arrival to the pool. Our kids were delighted to drink a cotton candy lemonade drink with gummy bears and sprinkles - I mean, come on. What 4-, 6-, or 8-yr-old wouldn't be delighted?
When we made our way back to the room to prepare for our afternoon outing, we were surprised with a chocolate birthday cake and three Sprites for my 3 children.
Roger at the valet offered great advice on our beach outing. Each of the men and women at the valet were hardworking, efficient, and helpful. We never had to wait long for our car to arrive (and my husband refused to call down for it ahead of time.) :)
When we dined at Ember & Rye on our last evening, Erika, our server surprised us with a special menu for our kids whose collective love of buttered noodles is unsurpassed. They were brought jars with paintbrushes to "paint" butter, parsley, and parmesan cheese on their pasta. What a fun activity for them to remember.
I want to make a special shout out to Chad Eding for his ultimate role in coordinating the BEST vacation our family has ever had. Thank you to you and your entire staff for this incredible experience. Our three children have made such positive core memories this past week - for this I am eternally grateful. As a result, I am loyal to the World of Hyatt program for life and I honestly cannot wait to return to the Park Hyatt Aviara for our next family vacation. Both of my daughters have already asked us to return for their birthdays.
My husband would like to add that we did not feel like the staff was trying to be kind in order to get a good review; they were genuinely kind and friendly people. Nothing was forced or awkward."
