Value: worth the extra expense. There are few luxury hotels that deliver on promise - this is one of them. From the bartender, to the room service, to the valet. Cleanliness: exceptional. Noise level: quiet. We will look forward to an opportunity to return. My husband has a disability. Everyone couldn’t have been kinder and more helpful. Quill and The Greenhouse - also exceptional, luxury experiences. Paul and Sonora - the concierges - were remarkable - they were helpful long before we arrived."

The moment we arrived to time of departure the hotel staff was over the top with customer service; from the front desk, the bar, the restaurant to housekeeping; all amazing! The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, in a great location and the food is delicious. We have stayed at other wonderful hotels in the area, this one is a bit more quaint and a bit more customer focused (more of both than expected) so this is now going to be our go to when back in DC! "This is a family owned bouquet hotel that we enjoyed very much during our stay. It’s smaller, 99 rooms, has a great bar, 9 original signed documents from Thomas Jefferson, great restaurant, very personalized and professional service. Its very quiet and low key, classical and elegant decorations with modern amenities. It’s a great value compared to other “5” star hotels. This place is what we consider a true 5 star hotel. It’s a totally different experience than the other quote 5 star hotels in the area that are corporate owned with high employee turnover. This is family owned and many of the employees are long tenured employees who care and treat guests as family. The daily parking rate is about half as much as the other 5 star hotels in the city. If you’re looking for a louder electric bolder hotel full of pretentious, people and staff that don’t care then take this one off your list but if you want to be treated like family by a family owned five star hotel, then look no further than the Jefferson. We will definitely come back every time we’re in the city. This hotel is also the most awarded hotel in the city, and that is irrefutable."

"My sister and I spent the weekend here May 15-17. We had a superb time here. The service was perfect, the ambiance terrific and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and special. My sister left her designer sunglasses by mistake on a table and Eden (the breakfast hostess) saw them and returned them to my sister. Kevin Lauter, the food and beverage manager, was excellent and gave us great advice and much needed help with Chat GPT!"
