PB hotel design editorial

Rising forty-six floors above Midtown Atlanta in a tapered tower capped by a distinctive pyramidal roof, the building that houses the Four Seasons Atlanta was designed by Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart & Associates and completed in 1992 — its warm limestone-clad postmodern massing a deliberate counterpoint to the glass curtain walls surrounding it on 14th Street. The hotel fills the lower floors of the mixed-use tower, which also contains offices and residences, giving the 244 guest rooms an elevated position above the city's tree canopy with views stretching toward downtown and Buckhead. The interiors, refreshed in a renovation completed around 2014, carry a palette of slate grey, burnt sienna, and warm ivory that runs consistently from the lobby restaurant through to the guest floors. Park 75, the ground-floor dining room, preserves the original drama of the building's base — tall ceilings clad in reddish-brown marble with veining in cream and gold, punctuated by a cascading modular pendant installation in lacquered white. The bar operates in a darker register: grey panelled millwork, tufted leather curved banquettes, globe pendants on a geometric armature, and a marble bar counter suggesting a refined supper-club atmosphere. Guest rooms deploy upholstered four-poster beds, geometric-patterned carpets in deep indigo, arc floor lamps in brass, and rust-velvet cushions — a vocabulary that favours residential ease over corporate formality.

"The location is right near some cute restaurants and shops and also near the Arts Center MARTA if you need to get anywhere on transit. The room is super spacious and the staff are really lovely. Last time I was in Atlanta I had slightly better luck with the house car than I did here, but I was also in a rush so that's on me! Brasserie Margot's food was fantastic."

"Four Seasons Atlanta – The True Four Seasons Experience We experienced the famous Four Seasons personalized service at its best. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The team seemed to know us in advance, greeted us personally, and went above and beyond to help organize the best tours, visits, restaurants, and experiences during our stay. Every member of staff carried that unmistakable Four Seasons attitude: warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely proud to be part of a brand that creates amazing memories for its guests. The hotel itself has a more traditional, old-school décor, but the Four Seasons DNA is felt everywhere, and ultimately, that is what makes a great hotel. We had a fantastic stay and left with wonderful memories. This is exactly the level of hospitality and personalized service we have come to associate with Four Seasons. Thank u Four Seasons"

"This is a luxury hotel located in Midtown. While the public spaces are unremarkable, my room was large and comfortable, with a big bathroom, many outlets and a strong wifi signal. The absence of a desk was a small negative, though there was ample space for getting work done. Service is absolutely first rate-the staff I interacted with seemed proud to be working at the Four Seasons. Prices are high, as one would expect for a luxury hotel. But I enjoyed my stay and plan to return on my next visit to Atlanta."
