"As a travel agent, I will recommend this hotel to customers and friends. After a generally underwhelming, very dry check-in at the front desk I was initially not impressed with service at this hotel…. But the valet crew went above and beyond- not only with friendliness and smiles (the only smiles I received during my stay by the hotel staff I interacted with) - the valet crew overheard that I had forgotten my phone charger and found one to fit my phone and then came and found me at Starbucks to loan it to me for the day so I could charge my phone. The room was fine, the facility clean and comfortable, but it was entirely (and ONLY) the valet staff who made my stay special and why I will recommend this hotel to others (with this story included). "I visited the Avalon Hotel with friends and the accommodations were amazing! Let's start with the staff! The staff greeted us and attended to us immediately! During our stay, we were always greeted with a smile! The room was nice & clean! The property's location afforded is the pleasure of leisurely walking to a variety of stores and restaurants. "My husband and I spent our anniversary at the Hotel at Avalon. The service was impeccable and it was a great getaway! Many thanks to Dennica Lawrence who went above and beyond when I called and told her it was our anniversary. She upgraded our room to a larger king room with an amazing view of the Avalon, and sent an amenity to our room to help us celebrate. She accommodated an early check-in and helped us with a smooth checkout this morning. She truly helped make our stay and our anniversary one that we will always remember."
