"This place is beautiful and has the potential to be a serene place for a wonderful vacation. Unfortunately, the place is full of screaming kids and their rude parents who let them behave that way. Food on property is great, but a $1000 meal sat next to toddlers? Our room was beautiful, but unfortunately was also next to a family of loud toddlers and a screaming baby. The resort could do a better job of separating the adults who are there for a peaceful time and the families with the littles. Or maybe, we will just stick to adult-only resorts."

"Excellent service and location. The feel was less touristy and more like a bunch of cottages together on the bay. Fourth of July gala was a blast like a wedding with quality food, entertainment, and fireworks. This is luxury but also slightly rugged not for those who mind a few bugs, branches and uneven paths around the resort. Staff worked very hard and unfortunately the service charges are not given directly to them. Tips are collected by the resort, pooled and handed out in unknown group fashion. Poor choice because it doesn’t allow guests to recognize one outstanding team member."

"We arrived at 3 pm, 2 rooms booked with sea view. We were not asked for to book a table for dinner, consequently we could not get a table at 6 pm for dinner. We were asked to wait until 8.30 pm as everything was booked from outside visitors. Finally we agreed for an in room dining and surprise they offered us a bottle of Taittinger to calm us down. Management tried their best…..and we had a nice view from our room ☹️🥂😊"

"Atlantic at the Wequassett – Supper Club in Harwich with Chef Gabriel Frasca (Straight Wharf, Nantucket)Cliff notes: A lovely dinner with fantastic food and wine in a beautiful setting, but the evening ended with frustrating billing issues and double charges.Four of us attended the Supper Club this past Saturday night. The food was creative and delicious, and the setting was absolutely beautiful. Overall, the dining experience itself was excellent.However, things became frustrating at the end of the meal. When I was presented with the check, I explained to the waitress that I had already paid in full ($308) when I booked the event back in January. She told me that my card had only been held, not charged. Before paying again, I checked my credit card app and confirmed that I had in fact been charged on January 21.When I showed this to the waitress, she directed me to the General Manager. After waiting to speak with her, I showed her the charge on my account. She initially told me the charge had been reversed a few days later, but when I checked in front of her, there was no refund posted. At that point, I said I would dispute the charge with my credit card company. She stepped away, then returned and apologized, confirming that I had indeed been double charged. It turned out the other couple in our party had also been double charged, and I suspect this may have affected many of the 30+ guests who booked through OpenTable. To make matters worse, when I returned to the table to get my purse, the waitress asked me to pay separately for a cappuccino, saying it was not included. I explained that I had already been charged $313.69, which included the coffee, and that I was not comfortable providing my card again after the double charge issue. She said the manager would handle it. A restaurant of this caliber should have a clear understanding of how their booking platform (OpenTable) processes payments to avoid situations like this. I am hopeful the duplicate charge will be refunded promptly, and that this serves as a learning experience for the restaurant."
