"Very disappointed with our stay. We had no AC. Went to the lobby 3 times in the afternoon to ask for someone to take a look, and no one came up. When we got back at 11:00pm, we asked a 4th time and someone finally came up. He was very helpful and let us switch rooms. However, I am pregnant and was really looking forward to a peaceful night's rest. Getting ready for a wedding in an 80 degree room wasn't ideal. I'm not sure why no one could help us in the afternoon instead of 11 at night. The hotel did not offer us a discount of any kind and only the night time person apologized."

"This is the most over priced hotel I’ve ever been to . The room which we stayed in , which is considered the largest and most deluxe was so small I couldn’t even keep my suitcase open. The bathroom was dorm style shower with tiny towels. This place is a total rip off."

"Here’s a polished review version you can post: We booked this hotel based on its excellent reviews, convenient location, and beautiful views. We specifically reserved and paid for a large room on a higher floor with a quiet setting and views of the Brooklyn Bridge. We also notified the hotel in advance that we would be arriving late. When our flight was delayed, I immediately texted the hotel, and they acknowledged the message, confirming that the late arrival had been noted on our reservation. Unfortunately, our experience upon arrival was extremely disappointing. We arrived shortly after midnight to find the hotel entrance locked and no staff at the front desk. We called, messaged, and even circled the block in a taxi looking for another entrance. Eventually, someone happened to come out and let us in. Given that the hotel knew guests were arriving late, there should have been clear instructions on how to access the property after hours. Guests obviously do not have room keys before checking in. When we finally reached the front desk and expressed our concerns, the receptionist responded by saying that we were “lucky to have arrived alive,” which felt dismissive and unprofessional. We were then informed that the room category we had reserved and paid for was no longer available. We were told that if we wanted the room we booked, we would have to wait until another guest checked out, with no indication of when that might happen. Instead of the large, quiet, high-floor room with Brooklyn Bridge views that we paid a premium for months in advance, we were given a noisy room facing the street. Traffic noise continued well past 2:00 a.m., making it difficult to sleep. What is most frustrating is that we provided advance notice of our late arrival, received confirmation that it was noted, and still had our reserved room apparently given away. The attitude we encountered made it feel as though the situation was somehow our fault rather than a failure on the hotel’s part to honor a confirmed reservation. The location may be good, but our arrival experience, customer service, and failure to provide the room we booked left us very disappointed."

"Had an incredible stay at The Hoxton Williamsburg, it truly has everything you could want in a hotel. From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel so welcome. The staff are genuinely some of the friendliest I’ve come across, always happy to recommend the coolest spots in the neighbourhood and go above and beyond to make your stay special. The room itself was fantastic, but the real standout was the view, waking up to the Manhattan skyline was absolutely breathtaking. A huge highlight was Laser Wolf on the rooftop. The food was unbelievable, the service was spot on, and the views are just next level. The vibe throughout the hotel is incredible, both day and night, great music, amazing energy, and a real sense that you’re in the heart of something special. A big shout out to Don, and the amazing front-of-house team, Trisha and Eden, who made my stay even more enjoyable. Cool music, incredible food, fab rooms, this hotel nails it on every level. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Williamsburg."
