"My husband planned a romantic, pre-birthday get away weekend for me at this location. The accommodations and service upon check in were on par with our expectations for a Ritz-Carlton. Unfortunately (for us), it was during a popular concert weekend in Charlotte. Our plans for a peaceful, romantic weekend were shattered when we were awakened on our first night at 2am to extremely loud music/partying from the room next to ours. Called the front desk to complain, and we were referred to the overnight manager who said she would send a security officer to ask them to turn down the music and their voices. After 30 mins with no change in volume (and also, at this point, the smell of weed started seeping into our room), made another complaint. The night manager said she would accompany security to dispel the noise. That seemed to work. Until about an hour later, we were, once again, awakened by conversation that progressively got louder until there seemed to be an active argument between several people that lasted 30-45mins. Another call to management. No answer, but by 5am it stopped. The manager returned our missed call, and said she would “make a note of our complaints”. We had planned to check out on Sunday after a lazy morning of decadent room service in bed, but after another 5am wake up to loud music and weed, we just decided to do a very early check out and head home. I know the hotel has a non-smoking policy, and I would think they also have a noise policy as well. I wish the management of this location would do better to enforce those policies for patrons who expect the quality on par for the hundreds of dollars per night paid to stay at their property."

"We stayed here for the July 4th holiday weekend. Compared to our prior five-star hotel experiences, this property unfortunately ranks at the bottom. The outdoor temperatures in Charlotte were soaring, making a functional AC an absolute necessity. Unfortunately, something was grossly wrong with ours. The first night, we assumed we just hadn't adjusted the thermostat correctly. By the second night, despite tweaking the settings, the room was still stifling. We called the front desk and they dispatched a technician. He informed us that he adjusted the system to a "VIP setting of 60°F" and promised the room would chill down. While this made the temperature slightly more bearable, it never actually cooled the room down properly. He also offered a bizarre explanation that the AC system resets to a higher temperature if it doesn't detect movement—which makes zero sense for a hotel room where guests are trying to sleep. Overall, this was not the quality or performance we expected from a Ritz-Carlton. Street noise was another major issue; the traffic and city sounds were loud enough that I had to wear earplugs both nights. On a positive note, the general customer service was decent. The pool area and hot tub were amazing, and we were even able to catch a distant view of the holiday fireworks from up there. However, breakfast at the 15th-floor restaurant was strictly average. Given the premium price point, the foundational elements—like a quiet room and functional climate control—simply missed the mark."

"Room is stunningly pretty. It truly looks exactly like how it is depicted when booking. The color and aesthetics are pretty. Hallway I thought had some tasteful art deco designs. Staff is a 12 out of 10. Valet super nice and helpful, check in and front desk staff always efficient and a delight to deal with same for housekeepers or any other staff we met along the way. This is the only hotel I have stayed at in the States that I think their bathroom is about comparable to ours at home. There is a separate space for the commode which offers some nice privacy if 2 are sharing the room. Housekeepers were adorable they placed out toiletries on emerald green cloths on the counter I truly believe the prettiest place in Charlotte to see the sun rise is at the indoor pool and spa area. It is gorgeous. Love that the pool area is more spa pool vibes with spa music. Hot tub is turned on by a button panel on the wall. Inside the hot tub there is a place to turn up or down the intensity of the jets. The hot tub has pretty colors in it from the underwater lighting. There is a great array of seating without feeling crowded. Meticulously cleaned. Like any time of day the indoor pool space was clean. I do like what they use instead of chlorine it was more gentle on my hair and skin. TV is a bit below average. Streaming speed is pretty slow. Limited on which streaming services that can be accessed. Additionally, the volume jumps a lot like the tv can be unable to be heard you turn the volume up and it is good. Then a second later it is super loud. Spouse said most modern tvs have an auto feature that manages this. But this is on Marriott and not the hotel as with some research it showed this is a pretty common issue most folks have about the tvs. We are buying a Roku stick to try and use in the future to access other streaming services we pay for at home. The beds are better than other hotels in the Marriott family but spouse and I still find them a bit uncomfortable. I would like to have them a more memory foam material than the spring with pillow top. Wardrobe was awesome it is a nice size. Lights up when the doors are opened and has a pretty floral scape along the back of it. I was able to keep my carry on sized suitcase in there. Spouse was able to hand my dress and his sports coat and pants for event we were going to. Room had plenty of counter space in the room and bathroom. This was great. Oddly there seemed to be drums that started playing outside at like 9am on Saturday that woke us both up. There was a wedding going on that weekend and I know they had some breakfasts not sure if there was maybe a morning ceremony too? Noise didn't last super long but woke us both up. The windows you can hear a fair amount of noise through from the street. Ordered room service I think 3 times. Very excellent experience each and every time. Each item was cooked perfectly and things like grilled chicken breast were still juicy and not overcooked. My K Lounge review will be separate from hotel but same 5/5. We enjoyed our stay. Staff and overall care of the hotel cleanliness wise made it even better."

"The room was so nice with the couch and little tables. The bathroom so nice. Breakfast was good and the fitness facility was exceptional. The only frustration was that we were told someone spoke of the street acoustics on the road in front of the hotel, so all through the night there were cars and motorcycles revving past. That has to be corrected."

"We stayed here on our first night in the US. The staff are very friendly and helpful. That makes such difference to a stay. Up early and into the empty pool for a few quick lengths before breakfast. A good choice, well served at a reasonable price."
