"We had Sunday brunch. What started as a group of four bloomed to ten over a couple weeks. The weather changed constantly, so I was worried about being inside or out. Every time I called, and every person I spoke with was kind and incredibly accommodating. The restaurant is beautiful. We wound up on a covered patio that was the perfect compromise. Our server, Lisa, was funny, knowledgeable about the food, and chased us down all over the beautiful grounds to beings delicious cocktails. Not just for special occasions! Great bar, food, and staff set in an amazing location"

"What a special resort gem in NC!!! Quiet beautiful mountain top cabins and large rooms with views. Lots of unique ranch activities for old and young. The Switchback Restaurant is top notch-serving locally sourced food, cooked superbly, with a friendly, knowledgeable, well trained staff. Calm, welcoming, clean. All six of us felt very pampered. Four days is simply not enough-we will be back!!!"

"The beauty of the Cataloochee Ranch property, is stunning! The views from every place on the property was just incredible! The rooms were large well appointed. It felt luxurious. The meals were excellent, and the staff incredibly friendly and attentive. The overall feel was relaxing. The staff, no matter where you were, cheerful and helpful. The staff, made the overall experience incredible!"

"My family of 4 (2 teenagers) spent 3 nights at the Ranch in Hattie. The cabin was so comfortable and cozy! We LOVED every moment! We had so much fun doing all of the activities - hiking, horseback riding, pottery, leather working, hat decorating, relaxing in the new hot tub, exercising in the fitness center, and fishing. So. Much. Fishing. Every staff member we encountered went out of their way to make sure the service was excellent. I want to specifically recognize several outstanding staff: Lacy in guest services was so amazing. She took an hour to help my daughter customize her own gorgeous hat. The hat will be a treasured keepsake for many years. In Switchback, we enjoyed Isabella's service several times, Penny as the hostess, and Angella who personally walked our lunch down to the pond so my kids didn't have to stop fishing to eat. And Shanne in engineering gave us extra catfish food and patiently talked with my angler son about their fish and pond operations. The food was stellar. The Wednesday night cookout was a highlight of the trip for sure. My teenage son was in heaven! I couldn't believe we found such a beautiful place to spend a few days. I already want to return. This is a hidden gem and I'm thankful we found it."

"We LOVED our experience at The Ranch! The scenery is absolutely breathtaking and the resort offers a laid back feel with enough activities to make the days incredibly memorable! We especially loved horseback riding, fishing, pottery and swimming in the NEW POOL! As a family of 5, our stay in the cabin was perfect! We hope to be back sometime soon!"
