PB hotel design editorial

At the intersection of Jackson's compact downtown grid and the vast wilderness that presses in from every direction, the central design problem facing The Cloudveil Autograph Collection was one of register: how to build something new in a town where authenticity is both the primary currency and the most easily counterfeited. The answer arrived in the form of a low-slung, three-story structure clad in coursed stone and dark-stained timber panels, the massing broken into residential-scaled volumes to avoid the institutional bulk that plagues so many resort-market builds. The steel-framed rooftop pergola visible above the entry facade, warmly backlit at dusk, gives the street elevation a penthouse energy without reaching for altitude the surrounding landscape would make absurd. Inside, the interiors draw their palette from the terrain rather than from alpine cliché — warm walnut cabinetry, leather bench upholstery in saddle tan, woven headboard panels with leather strap detailing, and patterned wool-blend carpets in the grey-green tones of sage and schist. Full-height wood-clad accent walls, fitted with sliding barn-style doors in blackened steel hardware, anchor the suites without tipping into Western kitsch. The bar and restaurant leans in a different direction entirely: a harlequin penny-tile floor, dark wood-paneled ceiling, zinc counter, and leather-and-nailhead bar stools that carry the easy confidence of a proper American steakhouse. The courtyard pool, framed by young aspens and darkened board-formed concrete, holds the whole composition together with quiet practicality.

"Best hotel in downtown Jackson! The staff hospitality, room views and the Bistro restaurant meals are awesome. The Cloudveil also offers great concierge services to direct you to all the national parks and recent wildlife sightings. The hotel is well within walking distance to local shops and best dining choices from fine dining to local wildlife entrees as well as local distilleries. Plenty of tour services will pick you up at the front lobby door. This is a prime Bonvoy hotel that deserves a booking. The hotel staff will treat you like VIP guests and that's saying something about their management."

"Room 206 Recetionists greeted us with a beautiful smiles. Both were awesome and very polite and a delight to talk too. They both made check in a breeze. They explained everything beautifully. We had a room with a mountain view and just steps from the roof top terrace stairway. Bed and linens are clean and soft. Big pillows. Bathroom luxuriously supplied. Nice towels. Room gets dark and stays very quiet. Each floor has a pantry with snacks and drinks. The trail mix options are outstanding. Vallet parking was a breeze with a very nice young man helping us in with our bags. Very pleasant. Hotel is located in Jackson Town Square, so walking distance to everything. We were here in off season but had no trouble finding things to do or places to eat as the park doesn't open until May 1st, I think. Definitely light crowds! Check out was just as pleasant as check in. We made an awesome choice by staying here."

Hotel staff and concierge are top notch. Only negative was did hear some sound from either the room next to us or above us. Lobby was beautiful with several table games available. Location - perfect and walkable to everything. Overall an excellent experience!"

"Perfect place to end the day after a long day of cross country skiing, skiing or just enjoying the outdoors. Rooms are decorated perfect for the location high end country. Fire places heat up the rooms giving it a cozy , romantic atmosphere. The Nespresso machine was top notch! I’ve already ordered one to replace my current nespresso machine. The house keeper came by right after we checked in. Asking if we needed anything and gave us chocolates! I wish I remembered her name. Small gestures go a long way! The front desk was great! As well as the bellman. Thank you for top notch hospitality! Also the location is within walking distance to everywhere."

"We stayed of 4 nights at jotel . Room no 310/311 . Hotel lobby was great . Front desk executive Dani was very efficient and helpful and guided us well Bistro Is also very lively but needs more menu options for vegetarian food items which was grossly missing. The hotel is very conveniently located"
